Cool Neon EL Wire. Cinemetric Movie Fingerprints by Frederic Brodbeck. As part of his bachelor graduation project at the Royal Academy of Arts, Frederic Brodbeck created these amazing movie fingerprints he calls 'cinemetrics'.
Each fingerprint uniquely summarizes the film being analyzed by converting editing structure, scene color, and speech/motion patterns into a colorful, moving orb of data. No two movies are the same and a comparison of films within like genres reveals some fascinating trends and differences. I love that Frederic has taken a diverse medium and reduced it to its core elements.
Within seconds we are able to gather a wealth of information about each film's pace, look, length, and cinematic style.
