Blue Kale Road: Homemade Sriracha. A couple of years ago I got hooked on homemade sriracha. I had discovered a recipe on Food52 and made it immediately. Upon tasting the homemade sauce, my family and I declared it superior to the store-bought sriracha which we immediately tossed out in favor of our new favorite. This experience opened my eyes to the world of homemade condiments, and sriracha became my gateway condiment, if you will. Here at Blue Kale Road, I love telling you about new creations as well as family recipes, and sriracha has become a family recipe. It is one of those repertoire recipes, one without which my boys will not leave home. We are never without a jar in the fridge, and I can’t begin to tell you all the times we have dolloped and slathered this fiery red sauce.
I’ve seen quite a few variations of sriracha made in home kitchens, some are cooked, others fresh, some have fish sauce, while others have tomatoes. The clean, fresh, vibrant flavors will make your taste buds sing, and it packs a punch! Raw Bread Recipes | Raw Buckwheat Recipes. Hailed by The Times as “The UK’s Leading Raw Chef” Russell has travelled all over the world teaching classes, and established himself as one of the foremost authorities on raw food preparation. Sample ANY of his incredible recipes and you will see why. Russell's food is inventive, artful, and tastes incredible. So, where did this incredible guy learn everything he knows? Russell was then on a mission! Russell and Haylee, thankyou for graciously participating in this event. Fragrant Vanilla Cake. Raw Strawberry Lemonade Tartlettes. I finally ventured outside for a walk today with my boyfriend Eric after work, because I decided that 45 was warm enough. I guess I am being a bit of a wimp about the cold lately that is still clinging to Minnesota, but it snowed last weekend.
Last year it was already in the seventies at this time and I was wearing shorts. So being a little bummed that it is still chilly is only natural. Spring will come eventually I suppose, but until then I am still dreaming about it and making things that remind me of its warmth. My Mom had asked if I could make lemon curd bars, and I was going to, but I did not want to make that big of a batch, so instead I decided on lemon curd tartlettes. I love strawberry lemonade in the spring and summer when berries are sweet, and so I knew tartlettes with strawberry lemon filling would be fantabulous! Raw Strawberry Lemonade TartlettesMakes 2 2 4 inch removable bottom tart pans crusts: 2/3 cup finely shredded dried coconut 1 Tbsp flaked agar agar.
Vegan Cashew Cheese (yes, it is stupidly easy) | WARNING: This shiz is like crack, you will want more. You will dream about it and you will make it again and again. You will probably even want to roll it up and smoke it. It’s that good (I’ve never actually done crack or smoked cashew cheese, for the record). Not only is this vegan cashew cheese delish times infinity, it’s super versatile so you can easily have a batch in your fridge at all times, use it many a different way and it will never get old and go bad from being ignored.
You can put it on pizza or crumble it on a big green salad. Try it in a sandwich or use it in lasagna. Meditate We can make ourselves feel good by reaching for stimulants that are quick and dirty, such as caffeine, sugar, fried foods, alcohol, or marijuana. We can also take another path that also makes us feel good, doesn’t take much more time to do, and requires even less effort than going to the store to buy our stimulant. This other path is mediation. It’s something I am trying to do more and more, and after every mediation I am wondering why I am not doing it every day! Add meditation to your morning routine and you will continue your day with greater focus and clarity. 2. One direct way to feel amazing throughout the day is to eat a mostly to fully raw diet.

Raw lasagna rolls | The Naked Avocado. This past weekend, I did my first 3-day juice cleanse with a good friend of mine – the kind where you buy the juices from a company and they arrive via FedEx at your door the day before you start the cleanse. I chose to go with a local Dallas company call Roots Pressed Juices for the cleanse, and they sent me 6 fresh juices to drink each day. The idea behind a juice cleanse is that you fill your body with fresh juices that are pressed in a way that preserves the most nutrients – vitamins, minerals, and other phytonutrients and enzymes. By just drinking the juice, you omit almost all of the fiber, so your body doesn’t have to digest the food.
All of the fresh goodness then absorbs straight into your bloodstream. Since your body doesn’t have to mess with digesting food, the idea is that your body will use that extra energy plus all the added nutrients and enzymes to do a super good detox in all of your systems. Would I do it again? To start, I got my zucchini lasagna “noodles” ready. Finding Vegan. Baked Falafel Recipe. Homemade Raw Vegan Ice Cream Bars!
Yes, another ice cream recipe! Funny that I am posting this today, because I started a juice fast this morning! I feel like I really need it because (believe it or not) I have been eating a lot of heavy vegan food lately…Good thing that ice cream does not go bad, coz these little guys will have to wait for me a while in my freezer Anyway, back to the ice cream! I got these cool molds to make ice cream bars at home and I wanted to make a raw vegan version of the classic ice cream I used to eat as a child. My favorite was the white chocolate covered chocolate ice cream! I also wanted to make them a bit lighter than regular raw ice creams that use a lot of nuts… So this is what I ended up with a raw, nut free decadent ice cream bar that tastes heavenly!
For the chocolate ice cream I used my basic chocolate avocado pudding as a base. Blend everything in a high-speed blender until completely smooth and transfer in ice cream molds. This recipe makes about 10 small ice cream bars. Enjoy! Vegetarian Recipes. Here's Why Fruits And Vegetables Have Those Annoying F*%king Stickers On Them.
