Google posted the homepage doodle in celebration of Pac-Man's 30th anniversary, and the game was only supposed to remain available for 48 hours. But enthusiastic user feedback to "Pac-Google" inspired the search giant to rethink its plans. Numerous sites popped up offering free downloads of Google's Pac-Man for those who wanted to keep their own copy once Google took the game offline.

Theories range from syphilis to sunstroke or even foul play. His final resting place was never recorded and he was thought to have been buried in an unmarked grave. Last year a collection of bones was found at Caravaggio's last-known haunt of Porto Ercole, on the coast north of Rome, buried below a church. In 1610 the area was controlled by the Spanish and there was no record of his burial, with historians saying this was to prevent anyone from staking a claim on Caravaggio's priceless works of art.

According to the series of letters, written by the guard's grandson who is now a physicist from Leicester, a reconnaissance plane and its crew were returning from a mission over occupied Europe when they were involved in the war incident. Later, during discussions about the unexplained incident, the two men were claimed to have become so concerned by the incident that Churchill ordered it remain secret for 50 years or more.
