Costume Ideas. Hand Stitching. One of my favorite crafts is hand stitching-- it's fun, addictive, expressive and relaxing :) Over the next few weeks, I'm going to share easy ways to make your own patterns for hand stitching along with some tips and ideas :) These are some samples of my past projects-- I like to draw patterns freehand and use my handwriting. However, sometimes I adapt clipart type images to make a more complicated pattern, like the sewing machine or I just stitch the outline of an image I love, like the Goonies "Hey You Guys" silhouette :) I use a Back Stitch for all my hand stitching because it's very versatile and I like the look but you can use any combination of stitches for your projects... there's lots of fun ones!

Today, we're going to start with handwriting & transferring your pattern :) You will Need: - Card-stock or Thick Paper (I cut a piece of 6x8" card-stock & folded it in half to create a greeting card) - Needle & Scissors - Embroidery Thread - Scrap Paper & Pen - Thumbtack or Piercing Tool. Shoes. Shoes!!!!! :) DIY Sandals. Graceful Lace. I have a thing with lace and shoes. A really, really big thing. In fact, this is the THIRD pair of shoes that I have made lacy this year.

On the one hand, I will always have a pair of lace shoes to perfectly complement any outfit. On the other hand, who really cares? Lace is awesome and on trend this fall and if you don’t have any lacy shoes, yet, you need to listen up! I feel like I have really perfected my lace covering technique. Shoeslace fabric, approximately 1/4 yardspray adhesivescissorsMod Podge & small brushutility knife First take and cut a portion of your lace that is generously larger than the actual shoe. Turn your cut lace upside down (pretty side down, less attractive side up) and give a nice layer of spray adhesive.

Starting with the toe portion of the shoe, place the lace with a good focal point on your shoe. When you get to the back of the shoe, cut the lace directly down the middle. Take the other side and trim so that the lace is just overlapping the first piece. Houndstooth Shoes. Music. Flute Sheet Music. Sax. 12. /// LET IT BE. 10. /// YELLOW SUBMARINE. One Direction. Zayn. (also because I dislike wearing shoes) But well, as I had lots of hours to draw and do html coding I decided to change the blog's design!

I really hope you like it! I'll be replying the emails I've got lately for tomorrow, so please be patient (: Well, Today I want to show you another way of pumping up a simple bun. Have an awesome day! Katniss Braid DIY. So I totally nerded out and saw midnight showing of the Hunger Games with some friends on Thursday. It was awwwsomme! I know some of you guys did too, admit it. I tried my best to dress up, I was by no means as prepared as Manzanita with her Hunger Games screen print DIY, but I was rather proud of my Katniss braid if I do say so myself. I got the idea form this article at Refinery 29. I'm not the best French braider, but I was happy to rock the district 12 braid!

Separate a small section of hair on the side. This will be the beginning of your braid. 3.Taking that section, separate it into two smaller sections. 4. Using a fishtail braid method, begin braiding. 5. Continue the french braid until you reach behind the ear. Thanks so much, Katie.
