HitRECord. Explanation: Every artist uses reference and even if they don’t, they all started out that way. Some artists use photos and images they find on public domain sites, some have models or muses… as for me, well, I use myself. Some people ask me about the expressions I draw, they wonder where I get the emotions from. Well, my friends all the best facial expressions in my work comes from reference photos I take of myself. Sometimes I take upwards of 50 photos just to capture the exact moment and emotion I want to convey in the panel/scene/work of art. It’s important for me to take my own reference photos so that I’m capturing the right facial expression at the right angle and I’m guaranteed that no one else will be using the same one for their art project (awkwaaaard) I use my laptop’s “Photobooth” program for all of my selfie reference needs.

So, in conclusion, here are some pictures I've used as reference in the past. -Carli P.s.
