Posted in Bangin, Video by nick | Tags: 2014, Chance the Rapper, Hip-Hop, LIVE, Lollapalooza Chance the Rapper made a legendary return to his home city of Chicago after gaining a monstrous global following as he played a huge set at the trend setting Lollapalooza music festival. This Sunday's set was a very special one for the rapper as him and his Social Experiment band went through an impressive collection of all the favorites from his popular mixtapes and even managed to slip in a few unreleased new tracks.

This was truly something special as the love for his home city resulted in some unreal chemistry. Enjoy! Lil Wayne & Drake – Grindin | Stream Only Outkast's "Ms. New Track: Get People – “Back to Dust (Ghosting Season Remix)” Get People who did the Harmonize EP recently and garnered a fair bit of praise, just released a single, “Back to Dust.” Luv Luv Luv Records put it out it on the 19th of November on vinyl and for download, and on that single is a remix by the group Ghosting Season. The original track has a delightfully earthy/electronic mood to it, combining the two seeming contradictions into an atmospheric delight.

But Ghosting Season have unlocked something even more, emphasizing the rhythm and backing beat to create a sound that is even more immersive. While the original plays like a strange story, or picture of our world that’s been changed just slightly, Ghosting Season’s version is more like a hologram that you can walk around in. This is an interesting remix that doesn’t detract from the original, which you can check out below, but enhances its themes. Credit for the photo at the top to Sid Difford. Alex Gladwin. From INTELLIGENT LIFE magazine, March/April 2012 They are adjoining houses in a quiet street in west London.

The occupants of both homes like their music, but the ways they consume it differ radically. Next door is the polar opposite. This tale of two households shows how drastically the music landscape has changed in 20 years or so. Most people are somewhere between the two extremes. There are now so many ways to experience music that it’s hard to get your head round them all. Are some methods better than others? New Live CD by Chris Brubeck's Triple Play Due for Feb. 7 Release. Richmond, CA (PRWEB) January 24, 2012 Over the past decade, Chris Brubeck (on bass, trombone, and piano), guitarist Joel Brown, and multi-instrumentalist Peter Madcat Ruth have honed a vast and vivid repertoire encompassing Delta blues, Tin Pan Alley standards, New Orleans grooves, jazz gems, and incisive originals. With all three contributing vocals, Triple Play delivers an epic sojourn through American music unlike any other band on the scene. Their new CD, "Live at Arthur Zankel Music Center," features two Triple Play patriarchs as special guests: piano legend Dave Brubeck and gifted jazz player Frank Brown on clarinet.

Recorded in June 2011 at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY, the disc will be released on Blue Forest Records February 7. Triple Play grew out of Crofut & Brubeck, an ensemble formed with the innovative banjo player Bill Crofut and Joel Brown on guitar. As a player, Brubeck divides his time between fretless electric bass, piano, and bass trombone. Turn Your Remains Into Vinyl When You Die. Jeff Bridges Music - Jeff Bridges Music Interview. April 19, 2011, 7:01 AM When you're at the top in Hollywood, as he is now, you can do anything you want. Including doing what you want. By Chris Jones More from this author Jeff Bridges is walking in his backyard, which consists of nineteen acres on top of a mountain overlooking the Southern California town of Montecito. Beyond Montecito, the Pacific Ocean opens up for thousands of miles, and beyond the ocean, the universe. Just a few days ago, a long way from here, Bridges stood under lights at the Oscars and introduced the nominees for best actress, calling out their names in the voice of a loving God: ANNETTE!

"Acting, man," he says now. It was the last acting he will do until the end of this, his sixty-first year. "But I am taking advantage of the opportunity," he says, smiling with his eyes and his mouth. A thick fog rolls up the mountain and rain begins falling out of the low sky, but Bridges is a man of ritual, which means he must walk before he goes to work. "Do you like aloes?
