Pollard Banknote Limited celebrated another successful ticket launch for its long-time partner Loto-Queébec. This week, on January 9, 2023, Crown Corporation introduced the Borreal Instant Ticket series, a game specifically designed for the lottery vendor's new digital printing press. The game features 30 images of animals residing in Quebec.

Anne-Marie Voyer, director of product and development, Loto-Queébec, said the agency was pleased to be the first Canadian lottery to launch the concept of a provider's new digital press. She said the Crown Company chose to use local wildlife photographs taken by award-winning photographer Jean-Simon Bégin as a way to introduce the state's wildlife diversity to locals.
Julia Cloutier, senior director of sales and marketing at lottery vendors, shared that the company is eager to further expand its partnership with Crown on new instant tickets. She noted that the lottery made the most of the company's proprietary digital process for the game series, which in her words created an amazing image of the new product.
The Crown Agency's goal is to provide Quebecers with a game of opportunity in a responsible and efficient manner. For more than 50 years, state-owned organizations have provided entertainment to the state. During 2021-22, it gave out more than 1.5 billion Canadian dollars in prize money. This was a record for the company, where proceeds are used for a better Quebec.
A few days after 2023 began, Manitoba-based Pollard Banknote announced its first major contract of the year. The lottery vendor reported receiving a major scratch ticket contract from Norway's national lottery, Norsk Tipping. The contract began on December 1, 2022, and will last for at least three years. There is also a renewal option.
The lottery vendor also ended 2022 with a bang, strengthening its content portfolio with the launch of Ticket to Ride™ in November. As the title indicates, the lottery was inspired by a popular board game that sold more than 10 million copies in more than 50 countries.
