What is Retinal Detachment?

Facebook Twitter

The retina is a thin layer of light-sensitive nerve cells inside the eye that allows for proper vision.
Retinal detachment occurs when there are holes in the outer part of the retina, allowing fluid in the eye to seep underneath and lift the retina, similar to a bubble in wallpaper.

This separation can result in bleeding and clouding of vision.
