What is Astigmatism?

Facebook Twitter

Astigmatism is a common refractive error of the eye that affects the way light is focused on the retina. It occurs when the cornea or lens of the eye has an irregular shape, rather than being spherical like a ball.

This causes light to be focused unevenly on the retina, resulting in blurry or distorted vision.
