How often should one have a routine eye exam?

Facebook Twitter

Expert recommends that adults have a comprehensive eye exam every two years if they have no vision problems or risk factors for eye disease. However, if you have a family history of eye disease or other risk factors such as diabetes or high blood pressure, you may need more frequent eye exams.

Children should have their first comprehensive eye exam at 6 months of age, then again at 3 years old, and before starting school.
