Blackberry Breakfast Smoothie Share This LinkCopy Supermodel Karlie Kloss loves to eat clean! When she's on the go, Karlie can always be found with a healthy snack like a Kind bar or apple in her purse, and she even partnered with the legendary Momofuku Milk Bar to create a line of all-natural treats — appropriately named Karlie's Kookies. Even when she's not busy with fashion shows and photo shoots ( . . . or cookies), Karlie keeps breakfast simple on her days off. Her go-to recipe is (what she calls) a "yummy, clean, boring" protein shake that requires just a handful of ingredients. Notes Karlie said that she tosses "banana or blackberries" into her chocolate protein shake, but after trying this blend of fruit together, I decided to add them both to the mix. Ingredients 1 cup unsweetened almond milk 1 scoop chocolate protein powder of your choice (I used a chocolate whey) 1 banana 1 cup blackberries Directions Combine all ingredients in blender, and mix until smooth.Enjoy! Mermaid Nails Share this image Share It Pin It For our trip to Costa Rica, I wanted fun nails that had an almost tropical vibe. I went back to Marie Nails (where I got this glittery combination) and got a bright tangerine color with graduated gold sparkles on just my ring fingers (which you can see here). It felt just festive enough and I couldn't wait to try out different combinations. pink bag MAGAZINE ENVELOPES 18K+ Well I got this idea from our friend Nina. She was making these super cute envelopes out of scrapbook paper and I really wanted to make some! So I came home and made some! They are so so SO simple and add a personal touch to your envelopes. You will need: An old magazine, scissors, an envelope, a glue stick and a Sharpie. Tear out some magazine pages that you like. Carefully pull the envelope apart. Trace the envelope on a magazine page. Cut the envelope shape out. Turn the envelope over as well as the magazine cut-out. Unfold everything and separate the magazine cut-out from the envelope. Glue the bottom flap down to the two side flaps. And you've made your own envelope! The great thing about making these envelopes our of magazine pages is that the envelopes have a character all of their own.
pink invi Follow the Trend With Colorblocked Nails! Why not try it out on your nails instead? You can keep it simple within the same color family or go bold and crazy—whatever suits your mood! Step 1: Get Your Supplies Together To start, make sure you have all of your supplies handy. For this manicure, you will need three different nail polishes (make sure that at least two of them are thick enough that they can cover the base color), Scotch tape, and a fast-dry topcoat like Seche Vite. Step 2: Paint a Base Color Start with your favorite basecoat and paint your nails the base color. Step 3: Start Taping Next, pull off a small piece of Scotch tape (you won’t need more than an inch at a time) and put it against your hand and pull it off several times until most of the stickiness is gone. Once your base layer is dry, it’s time to start the colorblocking. Step 4: Apply the Second Color Carefully paint your nail so the exposed part is your second color and make sure to paint over the tape so you have clean lines. Step 6: Marvel at Your Work
pink dress Easy Painted Tumblers Thank you all so much for such amazing feedback and for helping this project circulate all over the internet! My cups have held up pretty well due to not being used too often (they are currently just holding bobby pins in my bathroom) but several readers said after a little wear and tear, the paint comes off. Other readers have found that using paint specifically for glass leads to a much longer life! In the comments, readers have specifically stated that Martha Stewart Paints and DecoArt paints have lasted the best. I have used both, and love them both! The process of making them will remain the same, but these products should help prolong the life of your glassware. xo, z Here's the thing about Anthropologie; everything is gorgeous. Let the knockoff begin! The internet taught me that I can use acrylic paint on glass as long as I seal it afterwards, so thats what we are going to do here. In true knockoff fashion, I did one rainbow confetti, and one each of red and blue. xo,
DIY Beauty: Brown Sugar and Vanilla Lip Scrub I am one of the poor unfortunate girls who suffers from year-round chapped lips. I have purchased dozens of lip balms and while some work, most don’t cut it. However, sometimes my lips are so chapped that not even my Holy Grail lip balm can help soothe them. Trust me, it works like magic, is totally natural, and it smells SO good. What you’ll need: 2 tsp brown sugar1/2 tsp honey or agave nectar (I used agave nectar!) How to: Step One Using the mixing bowl, add your honey or agave nectar, then mix in the olive oil. Step Two Lightly incorporate the brown sugar. Step Three For a yummy smell that seems almost good enough to eat, add the vanilla extract. Step Four Spoon the mixture into a small container to store. How to use: To use, simply apply a small amount to your lips and gently scrub for 10 seconds. What Do You Think? Do you like this DIY?
Chalkboard Mason Jar Magnetic Jars Longest title ever for a craft? I just couldn't decide what to call it, so it;s a little long-winded.... But, here's a tutorial on how to make Chalkboard Mason Jar Magnetic Jars: I was sent some products to try out from Plaid, along with a gift card to Walmart for any other supplies I may need. First off, did you know that Walmart has expanded their craft department?? It's awesome - my store even jumped over across the main aisle for more room... (oh man, I must be technology challenged - I took these with my tablet and now I can't flip the pictures - so turn your head and humor me .... ) Do you remember a couple of years ago when they downsized the craft section and took out fabric (at least my Walmart did ) to make room for a bigger electronics section - - and then mine brought back fabric a few months ago and I jumped for joy - - and now the whole craft department has expanded recently - take that electronics! Including tons of products from Plaid - awesomeness!
