Revista Electrónica Semestral de Estudios Semióticos de la Cultura 7 Mayo 2006 (ISSN 1696-7356) En esta comunicación deseo retomar e ilustrar comentarios que Iuri Lotman hizo en su importante trabajo Estructura del texto artístico. Estos comentarios tratan sobre la relación entre poesía y prosa, y aparecen en las primeras páginas del capítulo 6, «Elementos y niveles de la paradigmática del texto artístico» [1]. Las resumiré brevemente: Lotman señala lo ilusorio que es igualar el discurso común con la prosa literaria. Considero interesante aquí, como a menudo ocurre en la escritura de Lotman, que su comprensión excede el vocabulario teórico concreto que usa. Sugiero, sin embargo, que una reconsideración acerca de la descripción lotmaniana, aclara que una lectura estructuralista simplista de tal descripción confunde la complejidad de su pensamiento. El principio de la versificación, de un esquema sonoro, es diferente en la poesía inglesa antigua que en suposiciones posteriores. Professor Becker, a UI alumnus, was a beloved figure for the University of Iowa, the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences, the Department of Communication Studies, and the countless students, faculty colleagues, staff members, and community members who were touched by his more than 70 years of scholarship, mentorship, and friendship at the UI. XUL :: XULdigital El Proyecto XULdigital El Proyecto XUL: Signo viejo y nuevo, la revista argentina que dio origen a este proyecto de digitalización surgió a principios de 1980 como una práctica literaria y política en el entorno hostil de una dictadura militar que utilizó a la censura como un instrumento clave del terror de estado. La dictadura que había comenzado oficialmente en 1976 fue destituída por el retorno a la democracia en 1983. XUL publicó su primer número en octubre de 1980 y el último a fines de 1997. Buena parte de los escritores y artistas que participaron en XUL bajo la dictadura continuaron haciéndolo durante la democracia, al grupo original se sumaron otros en un esfuerzo por hacer que la investigación de diferentes poéticas permitieran una lectura crítica de las instituciones culturales. C.P.V Revista electrónica sobre poesía visual Animus: The Canadian Journal Of Philosophy And Humanities Animus aims at a philosophical understanding of the works of Western civilization and contemporary views of these works. It seeks to promote a standpoint which is critical of dogmatic positions both within contemporary views and within the Western tradition itself. It considers relevant to its purpose not only studies of philosophical works in a stricter sense but also contributions to a clarification in the same spirit of theological, literary, political, scientific and other expressions of the tradition.
