Via | killerstartups Post correlati

The Underlying Blog Burritos & Sundresses It's summertime and most of my motivation, to put it bluntly, is focused on Chipotle, Mountain Dew and girls. It reminds me of that episode of Friends when someone asks Joey what he'd rather give up, food or women? I still have no answer, all I see is a pretty lady in a sundress handing me a Chipotle burrito with steak and guacamole, telling me I won the race. I have no damn clue what that means. Seriously though, and especially given that I live in Ohio, land of the 4 schizophrenic seasons, I don't feel like working at all... and I actually have a lot to do. If only I had motivation... so in 'continuing the greatness' as Bron Bron would say and blogging monthly, I've written the following to myself in the hope it helps you and I. 3 Tips for Destroying Summer Procrastination Tip 1: Make yourself work, at a minimum, 9-5 OR an 8 hour shift If you need to break it up into 2, 4 hour shifts that's fine. Tip 2: Use vacation days when you play hooky Look, I live in Ohio.

Main Page - FreeMind - free mind mapping software Basic introduction to mindmapping Mind maps are tools that help us think and remember better, creatively solve problems and take action. The mind map encourages creativity and flexibility, and you need these to make your resolutions happen! Mind maps help you think outside the box. If you’ve already made your list, try turning it into a mind map. If you haven’t made your list yet, try this strategy. They help you avoid thinking linearly They open you up to creativity and new ways of thinking They’re more realistic, because most things aren’t orderly to begin with They help you get the big picture They naturally hook into your right brain, where creativity and intuition can help you Not all ideas organize themselves tidily into an outline format, and linear thinking is limiting. Using an unlined piece of paper, work quickly without pausing, judging or editing. Using the unlined piece of paper, start with your resolution, the central idea, in the middle. Turn your piece of paper landscape style. See how it works?

Be an island If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting! Imagine you have woken up marooned on a deserted island. Just you and a beautiful island; full of stunning flowers and abundant fruit and vegetables – rich sand, sun, sea, air, freedom. No smog, no hum; just peace, tranquillity and calm; a passing cloud and a singing bird. And the check of your wrist confirms your watch is not there, the sun tells you its day, the sky hints at morning. No phones, no buzzing, no ringing; just stillness – all around you there is peace. And the moment seems “perfect” – you can’t go back or forth – just this. No boat, no plane, nothing to take you away; so you surrender and breath. And you wake up truly this time, at home; the power of thought – the wonder of a dream. That timeless moment is now; it hasn’t left. No stress; just this, surrendered to now, accepting what is. On a deserted island the choices seem clear, many already made for you, some gone for good. Be an island

Mind map Diagram to visually organize information A mind map is a diagram used to visually organize information into a hierarchy, showing relationships among pieces of the whole.[1] It is often created around a single concept, drawn as an image in the center of a blank page, to which associated representations of ideas such as images, words and parts of words are added. Major ideas are connected directly to the central concept, and other ideas branch out from those major ideas. Mind maps can also be drawn by hand, either as "notes" during a lecture, meeting or planning session, for example, or as higher quality pictures when more time is available. Buzan's specific approach, and the introduction of the term "mind map", started with a 1974 BBC TV series he hosted, called Use Your Head.[6] In this show, and companion book series, Buzan promoted his conception of radial tree, diagramming key words in a colorful, radiant, tree-like structure.[7] Differences from other visualizations [edit]
