Well, the answer is obvious: He hasn’t died yet.” Fortunately for us, Munger has kept on ticking. The commencement speech is an excellent response to the Big Question: How do we live a life that really works? It has so many of Munger’s core ideas that we think the speech represents the Munger Operating System for life. To get what you want, deserve what you want. It’s such a simple idea. Learn to love and admire the right people, live or dead. A second idea that I got very early was that there is no love that’s so right as admiration-based love, and that love should include the instructive dead. Acquiring wisdom is a moral duty as well as a practical one. And there’s a corollary to that proposition which is very important. Learn to fluency the big multidisciplinary ideas of the world and use them regularly. Be reliable.
Everything You Wanted to Know About Machine Learning, But Were Too Afraid To Ask (Part One) Recently , Professor Pedro Domingos, one of the top machine learning researchers in the world, wrote a great article in the Communications of the ACM entitled “A Few Useful Things to Know about Machine Learning“. In it, he not only summarizes the general ideas in machine learning in fairly accessible terms, but he also manages to impart most of the things we’ve come to regard as common sense or folk wisdom in the field. It’s a great article because it’s a brilliant man with deep experience who is an excellent teacher writing for “the rest of us”, and writing about things we need to know. And he manages to cover a huge amount of ground in nine pages. Now, while it’s very light reading for the academic literature, it’s fairly dense by other comparisons. How Does Machine Learning Work? We know that supervised machine learning models (the ones you build at BigML) can predict one field in your data (the objective field) from some or all of the others (the input fields). Not so fast. how to clean your makeup brushes This is an often neglected step in our makeup routine. A lot of times I put it off because I think, “oh, they won’t dry by tomorrow and I need to use them . . . “. But, a lot of times mine are completely dry within about 30 hours, so I’ve started doing this about twice a month on Saturday mornings. Brushes that you use with creamy products (foundation, concelear, cream shadow, lipstick, etc) need cleaning more often than those for “dry” product use. Nonetheless, it’s a good idea to clean your brushes regularly. I also use a brush cleaner spray regularly to keep them a little cleaner in between deep cleanings. Prepare the cleaning solution by using water + roughly a tablespoon of gentle shampoo. Have a fresh glass of water to rinse your brushes before cleaning them in the soapy solution. * a few readers suggested not submerging your brushes past the metal part (or the part where the handle begins) to avoid getting water trapped in the brush.

Python Tools for Machine Learning | CB Insights - Blog Python is one of the best programming languages out there, with an extensive coverage in scientific computing: computer vision, artificial intelligence, mathematics, astronomy to name a few. Unsurprisingly, this holds true for machine learning as well. Of course, it has some disadvantages too; one of which is that the tools and libraries for Python are scattered. If you are a unix-minded person, this works quite conveniently as every tool does one thing and does it well. This post aims to list and describe the most useful machine learning tools and libraries that are available for Python. We do not aim to list all the machine learning libraries available in Python (the Python package index returns 139 results for “machine learning”) but rather the ones that we found useful and well-maintained to the best of our knowledge. Scikit-Learn Scikit Learn is our machine learning tool of choice at CB Insights. Statsmodels PyMC PyMC is the tool of choice for Bayesians. Shogun Gensim Orange PyMVPA Theano
Why I Killed Gandhi Nathuram Godse was arrested immediately after he assassinated Gandhiji, based on a F. I. R. filed by Nandlal Mehta at the Tughlak Road Police station at Delhi . The trial, which was held in camera, began on May 27, 1948 and concluded on February 10, 1949. An appeal to the Punjab High Court, then in session at Simla, did not find favour and the sentence was upheld. Such was the power and eloquence of this statement that one of the judges, G. Born in a devotional Brahmin family, I instinctively came to revere Hindu religion, Hindu history and Hindu culture. I used publicly to take part in organized anti-caste dinners in which thousands of Hindus, Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaisyas, Chamars and Bhangis participated. All this reading and thinking led me to believe it was my first duty to serve Hindudom and Hindus both as a patriot and as a world citizen. In fact, honour, duty and love of one’s own kith and kin and country might often compel us to disregard non-violence and to use force.

The countless scrum meetings and hours spent fiddling with his development environment to make it work with the latest release has left him tired and irritable.
