Electrolux procura novos talentos em design O novo projecto do Grupo pretende encontrar estudantes e recém-licenciados em design industrial que considerem essencial a “mobilidade inteligente” nos electrodomésticos do futuro. O novo concurso internacional Electrolux Design Lab 2011 convida os jovens designers a concorrer a um estágio pago de seis meses e prémios em dinheiro, mediante a apresentação de ideias de criação de electrodomésticos que facilitem a preparação de comida e a lavagem da loiça pelos seus utilizadores. Os finalistas apresentarão os seus projectos, no grande evento final, a um júri de peritos e designers, que irão avaliar os trabalhos de acordo com critérios de design intuitivo, inovação e prospecção de consumidor. Behind the scenes at IDEO As part of his trip to San Francisco to attend Future Health Mission 2011, Wired's Charlie Burton takes a tour of design agency IDEO As if spending time with the UK's smartest health tech entrepreneurs wasn't enough, this trip also offers Wired the chance to take in some of California's most esteemed companies working -- at least partly -- in health. On Tuesday Wired visited the design agency IDEO, which we had long admired from afar. Even if you haven't heard of IDEO, you're familiar with its work: Apple's first mouse, the Palm V, Procter & Gamble's toothpaste tubes. The multinational's headquarters are in Palo Alto. We were given a tour of the company's greatest hits, which are displayed throughout their buildings. Once all of the tour groups had returned, the Mission companies were given a gold-dust opportunity: one hour together with four IDEO designers to discuss their own products.
