Pearltree Video p o t a g e r: Duplicate Photo Cleaner for Mac If any of you are like me (digitally challenged, to say the least) you may also be trying to figure out how to remove duplicate images from IPhoto and Aperture. There is no straightforward way in the program itself to do this...but you CAN (my Apple genius told me).... get an app for that! Try the Duplicate Cleaner for Iphoto for Mac (here) . Before installing this FREE app, I read the reviews, and was prepared (as is usually the case when I try to fly techno-solo on my mac) to be frustrated, exasperated, and extremely irritated. But surprisingly, NOT SO! Close all other applications and windowsTemporarily turn off photo stream Try it more than once, if the first attempt is unsuccessful. If it solves the problem for you...my job is done. :)

Apple4us Add Textures to Your Images with a Photoshop Action (Professional Photographer Magazine Web Exclusives) By Gavin Phillips You can create unique and elegant imagery by adding textures to your photos in Photoshop. It can be quite time consuming to do it manually by opening the texture, draging and droping it into your image, and changing the layer blending mode. Experiment with different texture combinations and layer blending modes Brush away, re-size, Gaussian Blur Add a black and white adjustment layer

Mac Rumors: Apple Mac Rumors and News You Care About How to save your Instagram photos as your screensaver I’m a huge Instagram fan, and have been ever since the application launched in late 2010. I’ve found a lot of likeminded people on Instagram and love seening the photos they capture. I often find myself going through my own Instagram photostream and looking over all of my old photos. Then, one day I thought I should set my photos up as the screen saver on my iMac so I can see my photos on my beautiful 27″ iMac screen. I love having my Instagram photos as my screen saver, and you will too. Want to have the same set up? Instarchive will connect to your Instagram account using Instagram’s API and will immediately start grabbing all of your Instagram photos. IFTTT is a service that lets you complete actions based on other actions. It’s a pretty powerful tool, and I use it for a number of different sites and services. Click on “this” on the statement. The next part of the statement is “that”, or the action. Select your File URL from the drop down on the right.
