iOS 7.1 est disponible et il devrait corriger quelques bogues Voilà une mise à jour qui était attendue depuis longtemps par les utilisateurs d’iPad et d’iPhone. iOS 7.1 est disponible, vous pouvez mettre votre appareil à jour dès maintenant. Outre quelques améliorations esthétiques des applications Réglages et Téléphone ainsi que l’ajout d’un calendrier de jours fériés, cette version n’apporte pas beaucoup de nouvelles fonctionnalités. Si vous utilisez un appareil utilisant iOS 7 vous savez que ce système d’exploitation possédait quelques bogues assez embarrassants. Redémarrage inopiné de l’écran d’accueil (Springboard) du iPhone et du iPad, lenteur sur certaines applications telles que Safari et Touch ID qui n’est pas vraiment performant. La version 7.1 devrait en principe corriger ces lacunes. Parmi les autres nouveautés et améliorations, notons l’arrivée de CarPlay, l’amélioration de la reconnaissance des empreintes digitales via le Touch ID et un mode HDR automatique sur les iPhone 5S.

De la prise de note brutale à l’écrit…! Pour singer l'image des petits ruisseaux qui font un fleuve, vive Drafts… par Jean-Christophe Courte l’idée de ce billet est de se souvenir qu’écrire ne commence pas nécessairement par acheter une pile de cahiers d’écolier à gros carreaux mais par de petites notes. Que ces notes peuvent être saisies tout bêtement sur un iPhone ou un iPad… Si, si…! Avant de passer à Daedalus touch ou à Editorial, mon premier jet se fait très souvent (…à 90 %) sur Drafts sur mon iPad (lien iTunes). J’apprécie ce produit développé par Greg Pierce et régulièrement remis à jour. Sur mon iPad, son icône est placée dans la ligne visible sur tous les écrans des applications les plus utiles, à portée de doigt. Bref, au départ, il y a cette simple note : quelques lignes qui répondent à une interrogation, une réflexion personnelle, une humeur, un truc entendu à la radio, une idée suite à la lecture d’un tweet, d’un billet, d’un bouquin. De fait, c’est un premier jet qui surgit sous les doigts. Ou vers TextCenter…?
Alors, Ulysses III, ton bouquin, l’iPad… Une version 1.2 fabuleuse et des limites logiques avec Daedalus touch… par Jean-Christophe Courte Que les choses soient claires…! Ulysses III est une application géniale avec plein d’options épatantes… Cela est encore plus évident quand on a suivi le lent basculement vers la version III depuis la version précédente. Ce fantastique travail de refonte ne doit pas masquer ce qui se poursuit encore à notre insu… Car, à l’usage, toutes ces nouvelles options ne fonctionnent correctement que si vous êtes connecté à iCloud depuis votre Macintosh… Par contre, les éléments partagés avec Daedalus touch via iCloud sont moins bien traités pour des raisons qui s’expliquent aisément… J’entends déjà quelques lecteurs réagir… — Mais JC, Daedalus touch est également connecté à iCloud…?! Oui, certes. Vers une version iPad de Ulysses Je n’avais pas compris pourquoi les développeurs de The Soulmen évoquent de plus en plus une version iPad de Ulysses III dans leur communication via Twitter. Google just announced new apps for Google Drive. Earlier this month, I wrote about how Google Drive is one of the Two Free Google Apps that Bring Out the Best in an iPad. As much as I like the Drive app, I have been hoping for some more features when working in Docs and sheets – like the Research tool. When I heard that Google had created some new apps, I just had to check them out. With these new apps, Google split parts of Google Drive into individual apps: Docs, Sheets, and Slides. Right now there are really only three ways in which the apps differ from the Drive app. Each app is now dedicated to just one individual tool in Google Drive.When you open the app, you see your most recently edited files of that type only, which does mean less time searching and scrolling.The apps have better built-in offline support, so you can easily view, edit and create files without being online.
