Epiphanie - HOME - My Life&List We started this business last year with the tag line: "Live life the way you picture it." It can be taken literally in the sense that our camera bags allow you to "picture your life" with more ease. But more importantly, it's about the idea that your life is waiting for you to make it yours. The first part of this post can be found here. Mason Jar Key Hook Hey guys! Hope you all had a great Wednesday I have a fun project to share today! I started with a 1×8 board from Lowe’s that I cut to about 2′ long. I used a different paint method on this board and I love how it turned out so I am going to share it with you in my next post. So for now… Here is my board after it is painted and ready to go. I also purchased 3 hooks and a pipe clamp from Lowe’s. My next step was attaching them to my board. Then it was time to attach the clamp. I used a 3/4″ wood screw to attach it to my board. Finally, I added to picture hangers to the back of it and hung it up. I love it. I’m thinking these would be super cute hand towel hooks for the bathroom. Thanks for stopping by! Ribbon organizer in Crafts for decorating and home decor Do you belong to those people who have dozens of ribbon reels and are looking for an economical and practical method of storage? In Spunky Junky we've found this great idea where using a slotted tupperware bin and inserting a pair of dowl rods inside (smaller than holes), we can organize and categorize all those ribbons that lurk in no order around our house. &Nature& Altered Book (pic heavy) I recently participated in the Sewists/Yarnies V. Papercrafters Swap and I was inspired to make an altered book for my partner, browndog. The basis of the whole book were a few excerpts from poems with nature imagery. The following image is the back cover of the book with a quote I like from Oscar Wilde. The original book was a children's board book from the dollar store and I made nine layouts with pages torn from a French story book for background paper. My favorite layout was one of the easiest to create. Another of my favorites is a layout representing night time. I'm pretty proud of my spooky tree. With all of these embellishments, my book wouldn't sit flat, but that's normal for me. I learned some new techniques while crafting this and I had to wrap my head around embellishing an idea and not photos.

Salvaged cupboard door = serving tray I noticed this stash of cupboard doors at my local salvage yard. The white one was the perfect size to make a serving tray. The old drawer pulls—also found at the salvage yard—made ideal handles. Their swirly shape gave me the inspiration for the pattern I painted. All it took was a little black paint. As with many of my projects, the possibilities are limitless: change the handles, add découpage or fabric, paint it a different color, or just leave it classic white. Melted Crayon Art Tutorial: LOVE Letter Tiles I've never really been big on decorating for holidays, other than Christmas. We've always lived in such small spaces that I didn't want the extra clutter. I had every intention of leaving our Silent Night painting up until we move sometime around April...but then inspiration struck. The Nativity painting came down and these went up. I stumbled across this graphic on Remodelholic... ...and I thought...wouldn't that look great with melted crayon dots instead of sprinkles?!? And I LOVE how it turned out. I'd planned on doing the whole word LOVE on a piece of wood or something, but when I went hunting around in the garage for something that would work, I found 4 tiles I'd bought over a year ago to make some trivets...and I think they turned out to work perfectly. I'd also originally thought to use all red/pink/white, but then decided to use a mix of colors so it could be used more of the year. I think this technique would also work great to make monograms for the kid's rooms.

Paint chip greeting cards | Chica and Jo Like most of you, I’m sure, I tend to go through a lot of paint chips when trying to decide on a color to paint a room. And when the project is done, I toss the paint chips into a box I keep in my craft room. They are the perfect “I’ll use these one day” items, right? Well I stumbled upon the box a few days ago and realized just how many I’d collected over the years. Oh the memories this pile brings back! No matter how I got this collection, I knew it was time to finally do something with them. Can you believe those were made from plain white cardstock and boring old paint chips? First I cut some ordinary 8.5″ x 11″ white cardstock in half crosswise, then folded it. For the square mosaic design, I grabbed a bunch of smoky blue paint chips and cut them into 1 inch squares. For the green card, I cut all my green paint chips into strips of random widths. For the orange card, I took the same strip idea but turned it on an angle. I spent a lot of time on the final card.
