Minimalist Disney Posters By Rowan Stocks-Moore
UK-based graphic designer Rowan Stocks-Moore has a definite knack for minimalist style. Being the avid Disney fan that I am, I did mental cartwheels over his collection of Disney film posters. They paint (no pun intended) a simple and to-the-point portrait of what these movies are essentially about, while still leaving a bit of intrigue. What's even better, is that he has his own Etsy where he's selling said posters! More after the break!
Intricately Patterned Animal Illustrations
It would be hard to tell from these strikingly detailed animals but artist Iain Macarthur got his start drawing cartoon characters. Now he carries his sketchbook on the bus, to the cafe and everywhere else as he includes more realism and in this case pattern in his illustrations. See more of his animals (and even some cartoons) at iainmacarthur.carbonmade.com. See Also INCREDIBLE 3D ILLUSTRATIONS JUMP OUT OF THE SKETCHBOOK Via: hypemuch.com Known in some circles as the most amazing man in the universe, he once saved an entire family of muskrats from a sinking, fire engulfed steamboat while recovering from two broken arms relating to a botched no-chute wingsuit landing in North Korea.
Gorgeous Bird Paintings by Adam S. Doyle
Artist Adam S. Doyle who recently relocated to Hong Kong creates beautiful gestural paintings of birds, where the seemingly incomplete brushstrokes form the feathers and other details of the animal. In some strange way it reminds me of the story of the Renaissance painter Giotto who is rumored to have been able to draw a perfect circle without the aid of a compass, as if Doyle just picks up a dripping paint brush and in a few seconds paints a perfect bird. In reality his work demonstrates a profound control of the paintbrush and careful understanding of the mediums he works with. Via email he tells me: Yes, what you see is what it appears to be—strokes of paint.
100 Illustrated Horror Film Posters: Part 1
For some, Halloween means costume parties and drunken debauchery. That’s never really been my style. Personally, I like to spend my Halloween evenings eating candy and watching scary movies. Yeah, I’m a nerd – I know. This Halloween season has had me reminiscing of the brilliant horror and sci-fi movie posters of years past. Particularly, I am a fan of the illustrated posters that used to be the staple of nearly every science fiction and horror film released.
Artist Takes Every Drug Known to Man, Draws Self Portraits After Each Use
This is all kinds of cool, and everything your mother told you not to do. Bryan Lewis Saunders is an artist from Washington D.C., not just any artist though. Saunders prefers to take a more unconventional approach to his artwork. Arguably his most interesting project, entitled DRUGS is described as follows: Below, you can view a collection of portraits Saunders drew while under the influence of various substances ranging from cocaine, to marijuana, to DMT. Each portrait is an astonishing look into the mind of someone tweaked out on drugs, something that your eyes will surely appreciate.

Standing Out With Personal Emails
Standing Out With Personal Emails The real secret to standing out from the rest of the inbox is to get personal. This is absolutely more work than just collecting a list and sending a newsletter, and it will pay off. Hone in on Your Target Thanks to services like Agency Access, anyone can build a perfect list. When it comes to using those lists, my best advice is to send individual emails to each individual person.

Rashad Alakbarov Paints with Shadows and Light & Cat in water
Artist Rashad Alakbarov from Azerbaijan uses suspended translucent objects and other found materials to create light and shadow paintings on walls. The best part is that you can easily create something similar at home – all you need is one or two lamps and some items from your desk. The stunning light painting below, made with an array of colored airplanes has found its way to exhibitions like the Fly to Baku at De Pury Gallery in London. Rashad adds, “Above the cloud with its shadow is the star with its light. Above all things reverence thyself.” Comments
