Animator vs. Animation by *alanbecker on deviantART StarWars Zone By Albert Ching It can be intimidating to think of a new story set in the familiar territory of the original "Star Wars" trilogy. Luckily for Matt Kindt, that intimidation led to inspiration. Despite being a fan of the franchise, the Mind MGMT" creator originally declined when Dark Horse Comics asked him if he was interested in writing a Star Wars miniseries, due both to his busy schedule and the uncertainty that he'd be able to come up with something new to the franchise. Speaking with CBR New, Kindt discussed "Rebel Heist" in detail and provided updates on "Mind MGMT" -- both the acclaimed comic book series and the film adaptation in development at 20th Century Fox with Ridley Scott as producer -- and confirms that he's looking to scale back his work-for-hire schedule (he's currently writing books at Marvel, DC Comics and Valiant), including departing "Suicide Squad" following the title's current "Forever Evil" tie-in. Matt Kindt: Yeah, I was like 4 or 5 when the first one came out.
Revealed: How mini black holes pass through the Earth daily without causing any damage By Lewis Bazley Updated: 00:06 GMT, 15 May 2011 Orbit in action: Mini black holes which could pass through Earth each year may hold objects in orbit, like the electrons orbiting an atomic nucleus pictured here Science fiction fans know them as dense, sometimes inescapable objects but black holes could be closer to home than you might imagine. While deep space is littered with black holes formed by the collapse of giant stars, a miniature form could also exist – and may even be passing through the Earth on a daily basis. And unlike the larger black holes that swallow everything – even light – past a certain point, the mini black holes would instead hold objects in an orbit. According to a paper by Aaron P. In their study, the VanDevenders theorise that some theoretical mini black holes are so small that they are able to exist on Earth as well as passing through the planet without causing any damage. ‘The available power of a GEA to emit detectable radiation is small but not negligible.
Connected - short film Marvel Star Wars Comic Books Marvel Comics Group's nine-year run of Star Wars comics saw more than its fair share of talented creators weaving the ongoing monthly into the classic series that it is today. The books themselves carried an innocence granted by a largely popular set of films that hadn't yet been bogged down with years of expanded universe continuity. Unlike most of the Dark Horse comics of today, the Marvel run was geared mostly towards young readers and it showed in the way the storytelling carried out. For the most part, these tales didn't continue longer than two or three issues and always saw all loose ends tied up. Back To Comic Books | Back to Photo Archive

page corner bookmarks | I Could Make That This project comes to you at the request of Twitterer @GCcapitalM. I used to believe that a person could never have too many books, or too many bookmarks. Then I moved into an apartment slightly larger than some people’s closets (and much smaller than many people’s garages) and all these beliefs got turned on their naïeve little heads. But what a person can always look for more of is really cool unique bookmarks. Page corner bookmarks are cute, practical and deeply under-represented in the world.* They’re easy to make, easy to customize, and will set you apart from all those same-same flat rectangular bookmarks. If you like this tutorial, here are a couple others that might be up your alley. If you’re loving the toothy monster vibe, check out these simple monster heating bags, filled with rice or wheat and entirely microwavable, to keep toes or fingers or tummies warm during the chilly winter months. Tutorial: Homemade Sidewalk Chalk | oh my! handmade goodness by Michelle Vackar, Modern Handmade Child One of our favorite outside activities at our home is drawing with chalk on the driveway. You can play hopscotch, four-square, and of course draw and create silly stories. My daughters and I were talking one day as we played hopscotch about how to make chalk and I thought to myself, let’s try it! It ended up being quite a lot of fun. What you will need: • Toilet paper or paper towel tubes • Scissors • Duct tape • Wax paper • Small bucket or disposable container to make the recipe • ¾ cup of warm water • 1 ½ cups Plaster of Paris • 2-3 tablespoons of tempera paint • Paper bag or a “mess mat” ** we made six tubes of chalk – we simply doubled the above recipe Step 1: If you are using paper towel tubes, cut each tube in half, so it is roughly the length of a toilet paper roll tube. Step 2: Cover one end of each tube with duct table to hold the contents within. Step 3: Cut as many pieces of wax paper as you have tubes.
Monty Pelerin's World » Paraprosdokians An email from a friend contained the definition and a bunch of paraprosdokians. I added some from notable figures at the end, courtesy of Wikipedia: A paraprosdokian sentence consists of two parts where the first is a figure of speech and the second an intriguing variation of the first. * Never argue with an idiot. * Going to church doesn’t make you a Christian any more than standing in a garage makes you a car. * If I agreed with you we’d both be wrong. * We never really grow up, we only learn how to act in public. * Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit; Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad. * The early bird might get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese. * How is it one careless match can start a forest fire, but it takes a whole box to start a campfire? * Dolphins are so smart that within a few weeks of captivity, they can train people to stand at the edge of a pool and throw fish. * I didn’t say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
