Apprendre a dessiner - Améliorer la qualité de son trait en deux temps trois mouvements -
Lorsqu’un débutant ou un amateur peu confiant dessine d’observation, et qu’il veut dessiner sans perdre de temps, il essaie fréquemment de tracer plus vite, et la qualité du dessin s’en ressent sur le croquis final. Très souvent, il va repasser au même endroit maladroitement, sera un peu tremblant, voire crispé et son trait semblera ne pas trop savoir où il va. Bien heureusement, on peut corriger les mauvaises habitudes, surtout si cela ne fait pas longtemps qu’on dessine. Aujourd’hui, je vais vous apprendre à dessiner avec un trait plus confiant, ou en tous cas, je vais vous montrer comment faire. Ce n’est qu’une question de comportement. Eh oui, avant de faire passer le mur du son à son crayon, il va falloir se forcer à analyser plus vite ce que l’on observe et à aller à l’essentiel des formes et des contours tout en cherchant la beauté du trait. Quelle(s) forme(s) résume(nt) ce que je veux dessiner ? C’est simple, vraiment. Dessin réalisé sans trop réfléchir.

Edited to add: Due to alle the comments regarding the title of this instruction, I've changed the name to 'iron age shoes' which might be more historycally correct. I learned to make these by using my own foot as a template. Therefore, all the measures given here are highly approximate. If your foot diverges a lot from mine (European size 39, long and narrow/slender), some sewing experience might come in handy. That said, there's no reason to be too specific in making these.

Fabric Folder Portfolio Tutorial
This week I made a couple more fabric portfolio folders, and so as promised, I'm here to show you how I made them. I decided not to use the iron-on vinyl with these, but I'm not totally giving up on the laminated cover idea, yet. ;-)Let's get started... 1.) First you'll need 3 pieces of fabric all cut to 13"x10". Thick and warm crazy rug
This is a super easy rug to make and it is a lot of fun! You will need about 5 yards of T-shirt material or something similar that coils up easily when stretched. You will also need a square (or any shape) of fabric for the base. Step 1: Base of rug Cut out a piece of fabric that measures 15" x 20" after you fold and hem in the sides. Step 2: Cut strips of fabric Next cut long strips one inch wide of the T-shirt fabric. Step 3: Sew rug Take the long pieces of material and stretch them out so that they coil, then cut them into about 4 inch lengths. Step 4: Great time saver! Here is a great time saver! Step 5: That's all there is to it Keep sewing until you fill the base.
