Trio | Trio Professional Learning A good friend of TRIO, who writes our cultural perspectives lessons, has raised our awareness of cultural events from around the world. So when we saw, Lin Yi’s Lantern A Moon Festival Tale by Brenda Williams and Benjamin Lacombe at the NSW Art Gallery yesterday we had to buy it. We love the book but were also impressed by the publisher. Barefoot Books say they celebrate art and story with their publications. A visit to their website revealed a wealth of wonderful materials: discussion guides for guided reading, YouTube songs to go with some of the titles and teaching notes. Wow, we love resources that make our teaching lives richer! I am really enjoying working with the Australian Curriculum and the NSW English Syllabus. Every time that TRIO’s friend sends us another cultural perspectives lesson, we get excited. Trio spent today working with teachers looking at the NSW maths syllabus. I have a confession to make.
