Den berättande stenen Jullovet står för dörren och ledig tid väntar. Vi hoppas att kunskaper når eleverna även på lovet och att läsning får en naturlig del av deras dagar. Det finns lite olika tips för att locka till läsning och här delar jag ett tips som innefattar en liten läskompis. Mina elever uppskattade läsbingo på loven. De fick själv bestämma om de ville genomföra läsbingot men på deras efterfrågan så fanns det alltid tillgängligt. I år har jag funderat på något nytt lockbete för läsning. Läs berättelsen om pojken Ernst och den berättande stenen. Det ena upplägget handlar om att eleverna tar med sig sin sten hem och själv avgör om och när de vill läsa samt vart. Ett annat upplägg är att eleverna läser och får fylla i små uppgifter som de sedan tar med sig tillbaks till skolan. Det finns olika val att göra vad gäller skapandet av stenen och asken. Reindeer Portraits My Grade One class painted these reindeer portraits this week! I am so pleased with how they turned out! Here is how we drew them: Draw a line from the top of the head towards each of the top corners of your paper. Draw ears at the top of the head pointing to the sides of the paper. Draw a large horizontal oval at the bottom of the face for the nose. Draw 2 vertical ovals at the top of the face for the eyes. Add dots for the eyes and finish the antlers. Draw a rounded square around the neck - there will need to be a bit of erasing here to hide the lines of the neck. Finish the scarf. We then used black oil pastels to outline our drawings and I had them paint the scarf, nose and the background. Then next day we added a bit of peach pastel to the inside of our reindeers' ears, white to add details to the scarf, and went over our antlers and any other spots where we felt needed some more black outlining.
