I'm writing from here {above} today. Such beautiful light in our studio this morning!! Anyway, back to what I want to tell you about! October is always a big month in our family. Design Editor Hey there, I'm still here! Big breaks on this blog always coincide with major life changes like having babies. This time around it's a career change and moving to another time zone! Here's the deal. For almost two decades, I've worked as designer, Design Editor, and eventually Design Director in the newspaper industry. My roles have encompassed designing pages (oh, so many pages!) Madeleine Holth Source: Epiloguebyeva.com Lost for words.. No need for kids, a man, food or shelter. I need this. Three Boys, One Room « the bumper crop It took a while, but we finally got the boys’ room done! I was inspired once again by Ana White. When the time came for August to switch to a big boy bed, we decided to put all three boys in the same room. We looked for some time for bunk beds, triple beds, and all different combination of beds to accommodate all three of them in a small space, and we really didn’t find anything that we liked and could afford. So, although what we hoped to be a weekend project took a little longer, we are happy with the results! We used the plans for the hanging daybed and modified them just a bit.

moodboard: Home Profile We just found out we have to move from our apartment again, which was a month to month rental while we searched for a house to buy. We're discussing the option of signing a year lease for our next apartment, because not having a permanent home for the last couple of years is really starting to wear on me. I'm sure the minute we sign the lease the house of dreams will pop up, but I'm willing to risk it at this point. With this change comes an excitement about interior decorating again, and I'm already gathering together inspiration folders for our next home. Dark, light, pattern and shine has always been my guiding theme, and I'm hoping I find some things in Rome and Florence to add to my mixture. poppies & posies While they're not wedding dresses by design, these lovely frocks from Erdem's RTW line would be just as gorgeous walking down the aisle as they are walking down the runway.

Design*Sponge » Blog Archive » diy project: cardboard faux logs I have always adored a fireplace in the living room. Nothing beats the warm (in more ways than one) feeling that it brings. We have a great fireplace in our cozy little house, but we also have a little girl. As much as I would love to have a glowing fire in our fireplace and a hot cup of cider and a good book to go with it, a fire just doesn’t work with our lifestyle at the moment.
