DIY Portable Bike Repair Stand I've been using my ceiling mounted bike lift to hold my bike when doing minor repairs or adjustments. I just lower the bike close to ground, it kinda works, but it's not portable and it's a little wobbly and not stable when you are cranking the wheels. After reading several post from a bike forum on how to built your own bike stand, I decided to make my own. I wanted it to be portable and able to adjust the angle of the clamp to accommodate different bike geometry and able to tilt the bike at a certain angle. To make it portable, I decided to use a PA tripod speaker stand as a base. Things that you need: PA tripod speaker stand (Similar to this : Tripod Speaker Stand) 3/4" Pipe clamp "pony clamp" (Amazon link: Sure-foot Pipe Clamp, with pre-drilled holes to clamp head) 2= 1" diameter , 6" long black pipe. Porkbelly Ventures LLC - Pricing The Riding Part- A lot of people ask us, "What do I have to do to get in shape for this thing?" There is no other way to train for a long-distance bike ride than to ride long distances. You can't really prepare for RAGBRAI by riding a stationary bike or by walking or running, although these activities will contribute to a higher level of fitness. You need to come as close as you can to simulating the ride, which means riding hills, riding against the wind, riding long miles day after day. Comfort on the bike is critical. Everybody has their own idea of what they need to carry with them on the bike. Watch out for the other guy. When a car is approaching in the oncoming lane or from behind you, warn other riders by shouting "Car Up" or "Car Back." The Packing Part- Bring layers. The Camping Part- Put your tent up and take it down so you know how it's done. The Eating Part- This is not the time to diet. The KEY- What's the key to RAGBRAI?

Watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta "We Come In Peace" Season 4, Episode 10 Free Online Streaming | Watch Online Tv Shows And Movies For Free Airdate: 15 January 2012, Let’s have a deep, intellectual discussion about a fascinating topic that has intrigued me for some time. “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” and the glam lifestyle of the cast on the show. I say cast, for we all know the only thing real about the parade of reality shows on television is the word real in the title. The “real deal” is everyone has a role to play and it’s scripted like any other drama on film or television. So is the lifestyle also “scripted?” There is Nene, the resident “angry Black woman:” She does full justice to her role, doesn’t she? So where does she get the money for her lavish lifestyle and new hobby, plastic surgery? Then there is the “White One” in the midst. She has a zillion wigs, implants to maintain, diamonds dripping everywhere and cars most of us can only dream of and yes, no career here either. Ms. Then there is Ms. Kandi is the only one who has a bona fide career where the money can flow. {*style: *} Incoming search terms:

Speed Distance Time Calculators Generic browser based speed, distance and time calculators written in javascript by Nigel Jones for performance oriented cyclists and other racers. If you can run Windows applications you might prefer a nicer and more compact version of these calculators that ships with my bike gear calculator or the additional functionality of my power calculator. Better still if your sport does involve bicycles my fixed wheel gear calculator does some very similar calculations in a manner that is more comprehensive because it does take your bicycle gearing and cadence into account but is obviously more complex as a result. If you can't run windows applications, and/or your sport doesn't involve bicycles so the additional functionality of GearCalc and PowerCalc isn't of interest to you use these for free. Time Calculator Calculates time required to ride a fixed distance in a given average speed. Distance Calculator Calculates distance covered from average speed and time elapsed. Minimum System Requirements
