La UNC en Tecnópolis: arte, dinosaurios, máquinas del tiempo y energías renovables — Universidad Nacional de Córdoba El pasado viernes 15 se inauguró la muestra de Ciencia, Arte y Tecnología más grande que se haya hecho en nuestro país hasta ahora. En Tecnópolis se propone dar a conocer el legado de 200 años de producción científica y tecnológica nacional, con las miras puestas en el futuro. Lo que se hizo y lo que vendrá estará abierto al público hasta el 22 de agosto. Entre estos, en calidad de expositores, habrá cuatro representantes de la Casa de Trejo. CmapTools 6.04 - Descargar Un mapa conceptual es una herramienta fenomenal para explicar conceptos y teorías complejas que constan de varias ideas principales que guardan relación unas con otras. Existen aplicaciones muy buenas para desarrollar mapas conceptuales, como DIA (GNU) o InfoRapid KnowlegdeMap (Shareware), pero no tan prácticas y avanzadas como CmapTools. Lo que diferencia a CmapTools del resto es, en primer lugar, la posibilidad de crear mapas conceptuales web que incorporen archivos adjuntos o enlaces a otras páginas. Por tanto, los esquemas creados con esta herramienta permiten interactuar con su contenido a través de un navegador. En segundo lugar, la posibilidad de compartir los mapas conceptuales y sus recursos a través de Internet. Existen servidores públicos donde se pueden alojar los esquemas y los archivos adjuntos a éstos. Crear un esquema es muy fácil, basta con insertar bocadillos haciendo doble clic en el fondo de la pantalla y arrastrar las flechas hacia el lugar indicado.

The new Pivot Interactives website offers a powerful platform for students to learn science concepts and science process skills. It contains classroom-ready activities with integrated data tables and graphing capabilities, teacher-modifiable student instructions, and allows teachers to create classes to assign and grade student work. In addition, the platform features more video arrays with the Pivot Player interactive tools, and a user-interface that allows users to change variables within the videos, such as the mass of objects or frequency of a wave. Here are the changes underway: During late summer and fall 2017, many of the videos on the Direct Measurement Video website will be migrated to the Pivot Interactives site and will no longer be freely available. Free, 30-day trial accounts are available.For high schools, subscriptions start at $150 per year, which includes up to 30 student licenses.
Smoking Cessation - WHAT SMOKING DOES TO YOUR BODY Smoking is a major health hazard. There is now an exhaustive body of evidence—including hundreds of epidemiological, experimental, pathological, and clinical studies—to demonstrate that smoking increases the smoker’s risk of death and illness from a wide variety of diseases. The U.S. Surgeon General has called cigarette smoking “the chief preventable cause of death in our society.” The National Institute on Drug Abuse has estimated that in the U.S. alone, smoking is responsible for approximately 350,000 deaths per year. Most smokers accept the fact that smoking is harmful, but many think of this risk as something like a game of roulette: They believe that each cigarette they smoke is like placing a bet. This is a serious misconception.
