VinFast was formed in 2017 by Pham Nhat Vuong, Vietnam's first billionaire, who made his money with an instant noodle firm he started while residing in Ukraine in the 1990s. In an interview with FOX Business, Emmanuel Bret, VinFast's deputy CEO of worldwide sales and marketing, said, "We see the need and request for EVs rising everywhere in the world." However, VinFast will not be selling automobiles the traditional way.
