Une fois à l’intérieur, les moisissures peuvent se développer si elles sont en présence d’eau ou d’humidité en quantité suffisante et de matières nutritives comme le bois, le carton ou le placoplâtre. On les retrouve souvent aux endroits humides, par exemple autour de la baignoire ou des fenêtres. Lorsqu’elles sont en petite quantité et qu’elles sont éliminées régulièrement, les moisissures ne représentent généralement pas de problème sérieux. Par contre, lorsqu’elles se développent de façon importante, les moisissures dispersent dans l’air ambiant des particules respirables qui peuvent, dans certains cas, entraîner des problèmes de santé. Just imagine being out for a walk in Norway’s countryside, turning a corner and discovering a magical forest of lamps, a tangle of chairs, or a river of books. Sadly, once the photograph is taken, Rune removes the installation, the only proof of it’s existence being these images… sort of like waking up from an amazing dream that you could have sworn was real. As an artist, I believe strongly that art itself should be questioning and bewildering as opposed to patronising and restricting.
