Elle est un pont entre le corps et l'esprit car si elle est d'abord physique, elle est aussi directement reliée aux émotions et à la pensée. L'appareil vocal lui même est une combinaison de différents outils qui travaillent simultanément ensemble, mettant au final l'air en vibration. A l'évidence, le mécanisme vocal est un mécanisme complet parce qu'il engage tout le corps, et complexe parce que les différentes parties du corps travaillent simultanément, mais ont des mouvements parfois contraires voire contradictoires.
