Ella Eyre Early life and education[edit] McMahon was raised in West London by her mother, a former fashion designer turned professional baker. McMahon is of Afro-Jamaican, Maltese, and English descent.[2] She trained as a competitive swimmer before she began singing professionally.[3] McMahon was educated at Millfield School and the BRIT School for Performing Arts & Technology.
