Nike Hindsight by Billy May & Yanko Design Nike Hindsight Gives You Unparalleled Vision The urban jungle isn’t exactly the safest place for bicyclists. You need the right tools to keep you one step ahead of irresponsible motorists. They work similar to bifocals except for your peripheral vision. A rider’s clear benefit is in the early warning of approaching vehicles, but a less obvious advantage is reducing the necessary head rotation to check behind. Designer: Billy May

9 Tactics for Rapid Learning (That Most People Have Never Heard Of) &... Whenever the subject of why some people learn faster comes up, I get a whole host of common answers: Some people are just naturally smart. (Often implying you can’t improve)Everyone is “smart” in their own way. There may be some truth to these claims. Considering the upcoming launch of my rapid learning program, I wanted to share my favorite tactics to learn faster, retain information better or just enjoy the process of learning more: #1 – Pegging (or How Mental Magicians can Perfectly Recall Hundreds of Numbers) One of my favorite learning tactics, that is rarely mentioned, is pegging. The systems I’ve seen typically work with a special cheat sheet. From there, you can translate any series of numbers into a series of letters. Then, once you have your string of nouns, you just need to create a story that combines each of the nouns in a sequence. Here’s a quick way to separate the rapid learners from the average learners. 13 Business Books That Will Blow Your Mind Having never taken a business class in college I find that I read and listen to a lot of business books to round out my education. The books usually aren't "How to Manage Your Cash Flow" but rather get me to rethink the way I run my business, which--despite no business classes or diploma--continues to be in business 13 plus years after I started it. In that time, here are 13 of the books that had the biggest impact on how I run my business (in no particular order): Drive: The Surprising Truth About What Motivates Us by Daniel Pink: If you supervise anyone in your business, this book is a must read. The Knack: How Street-Smart Entrepreneurs Learn to Handle Whatever Comes Up by Norm Brodsky and Bo Burlingham: I wanted to have at least one book that was dedicated to small business and the entrepreneurial spirit. The beauty of this list is that I get to leave off a whole bunch of mind-blowing business books that you can't believe didn't make the list.

4 Places to Find Digital Signage Growth in a Down Economy | WireSpring Author: Bill Gerba on 2008-11-25 09:11:38 I spent part of last week in Chicago speaking at the Strategy Institute's "Building Your Digital Signage Business" conference. Attendance was definitely lower than last year's event, no doubt because of the "belt tightening" (or whatever euphemism you prefer) that has affected so many industries. But while the group was smaller than in the past, it was also far better educated about the digital signage market than any I've come across before. As one might expect during a recession, many of the presentations and ensuing conversations revolved around getting businesses to spend money during hard times. Making the case for optimism Yes, it's in my best interest to be optimistic. If that kind of data is too macro-level for you, let's try an anecdote from the conference. Where to look for opportunities During my presentation (the last spot on the last day, yuck), I outlined four areas where WireSpring is finding good growth right now.
