A tabby with top marks for spelling By Andy Dolan Updated: 08:33 GMT, 13 September 2010 All the clues are there: the whiskers, the purring, the miaowing and even the toy mouse under her front paws. But just in case you were in any doubt as to what sort of animal Polly is, the ten-week-old tabby is happy to help out, thanks to her unusual markings, which spell out the word ‘cat’ on her left flank. Garry Marsh and wife Joan, both 57, adopted Polly from a local cat rescue centre last weekend. Unusual: Polly, a ten-week-old tabby, has the word 'cat' spelt out on her left flank Playtime: Polly was rescued from a local cat rescue centre last weekend Fangs alot: Polly will be sharing her new home with a seven-year-old cat called Katina But it was only as they admired their new pet’s colouring three days later that they noticed the marks. Mr Marsh, a teacher, said: ‘We were commenting on how symmetrical her tabby patterns seemed when Joan suddenly noticed the letters.

How to delete all your Facebook posts and comments Maybe you woke up from a long night and realize you've made a horrible mistake, posting dozens of embarrassing pictures (or worse) to Facebook. Maybe you've just decided that your five years on Facebook were experimental and you'd rather move on. In either case, deleting more than a couple of posts or pictures can be a major pain. CNET's Elinor Mills recently wrote up a neat Android tool called Exfoliate that can scour your Facebook history and permanently delete some or all content. (iPhone users should see it come to the App Store soon.) Install Exfoliate from the Android Market.Tell Exfoliate which data to delete. That's it. And hey, if you need to delete all those tweets while you;re at it, read Nicole Cozma's "How to Delete All Your Tweets" .

Sara York: Wednesday Briefs Independence Day Welcome to Wednesday Briefs. I'm going to stop on Jeff's story and move on. It will be up eventually on Amazon. Here's the prompt for next week, a semi-tribute to the 4th of July - Use any sort of patriotic reference or the alternate prompts: cat, chocolate, mysterious or Use a grand old flag or "I never told you that..." or find a way to crack the whip in your story (take that any way you want to!) Grant raced across the street to the golf course, his arms pumping and his legs flying as he ran to the shadows. The Watchers were after him but they tended to stick to the light. Devers skidded to a stop beside him. “No clue, but I don’t want to tempt fate. “Seriously, don’t you think the Danks will get us?” “Danks, those lazy shits they don’t care about two souls taking cover for the night on the course.” “Why do they still have this? “Those who have money.” “Money, I’d like to find someone who had any.” “Devers, life ain’t so bad.” “It just is. “Grant.” “Yeah Devers.” “Lay down and look up.

The Daily Kitten - Clovis - September 07, 2010 September 7, 2010 Ghostwriter D. says: I first saw Clovis, when he was about seven days old, when I visited a friend's house. The cat of the family had four kittens, two girls and two boys, which where born in the bed of my friend and grew up with three kids around. But they did not want to keep them all. Three were already picked out by some other friends and we got Clovis (the kids had named him Fizzi). [REVIEW] Bronx D.A. by Sarena Straus Title: Bronx D.A. Update: Nico, the deaf shelter dog whose photo inspired online rescue community, has a new home in Indiana | L.A. Unleashed | Los Angeles Times Last year, guest blogger Janet Kinosian shared the story of Nico, a shelter dog who was rescued through the efforts of Southern California rescuers and a community of animal-loving Facebook users. Since then, Nico's story has gotten even better; here, Kinosian fills us in on what's been going on in the life of this hard-luck dog who became one of the luckiest couch potatoes in Indiana. Remember Nico, the defeated deaf white Dogo Argentino at South Los Angeles animal shelter -- who moved so many people with the sad photo of him first posted on Facebook? Nico, the forlorn animal who evoked the agony and utter defeat so many discarded animals must experience? Well, it's a joy to update you on Nico's life. Just look at these two photos side by side: Can this possibly be the same animal? Photos like the one on the left aren't anything new on the Web: Tens of thousands flood Facebook alone on a daily basis. And that's where the photo on the right comes in. -- Janet Kinosian
