The terms "typeface" and "font" are used interchangeably today, but how did we get there? Have you ever wondered if a font is the same thing as a typeface? Or is typeface just a term that historians and academics use? Maybe one refers to digital media and the other to analog? A typeface is a particular set of glyphs or sorts (an alphabet and its corresponding accessories such as numerals and punctuation) that share a common design. Avec Robert Massin, Jacques Daniel et Jacques Darche, il fut l'un des acteurs principaux du graphisme français moderne. Biographie[modifier | modifier le code] Élève de l’École Estienne, Pierre Faucheux entre chez Flammarion en 1942, où il assiste Paul Faucher au Père Castor. En 1946, il devient directeur artistique du Club français du livre, lequel, sous son impulsion créatrice, modifia profondément le graphisme éditorial français. Faucheux collabore ensuite aux projets ambitieux des Éditions K, fonde ou anime des revues d’art et d’architecture, conçoit des expositions.
