Tutorial12 : The Attractor Concept Interior (image breakdown) Every now and then we get commissioned by our clients to create visuals for their projects that are in a very initial design stage, where there would be not only no 3D models supplied, (not even basic ones), but what is even more striking but as well more challenging and exciting – they might not even have proper architectural drawings (plans, elevations, etc.) yet produced, so constructing a 3D model would be a tedious and time consuming process. So, as it is the case with this current example- a visual we’ve completed recently for Gensler, all we got from them as a brief was only this sketch: And if it is a nicely constructed one – that is, in the right proportions, scale and perspective, then what we would do is grab it and throw it straight into Photoshop where, overlaying pieces of photography and using matte painting /digital paining techniques, we would be able to come up with results similar to the one you see below: You can watch the quick breakdown video here: Thanks for watching!

Also, major browser vendors are integrating these open standards into their browsers and deprecating most other plug-ins (like Flash Player). Offices We have yet to experience anything even closely equal to our incredible six days at Castello di Reschio in Umbria. So it should not have come as a surprise to us that their office building would turn out to be stunning as well. But it just feels somehow unfair that some people really do get to call this restored 1940s tobacco processing factory as their everyday office. Late last summer, Count Benedikt Bolza, the talented managing director and chief architect of the Castello di Reschio estate, and his team finished the restoration of the estate’s tobacco factory building so that the estate offices, design studio, workshops and exhibitions could move in.
Dalian Planning Museum / 10 Design The design for the new Dalian Planning Museum by 10 Design in Dalian, China is envisioned to become a new civic sculpture at the heart of the city’s main governmental district. The building is part of the first steps made by the Planning Bureau to promote landmark architecture in Dalian with an additional seven municipal civil projects, including a library, scientific center, urban planning exhibition, museum, and teenage activity center. The Planning Building will serve as a modern, first-class venue for offices and exhibitions, and more importantly, an addition of cultural engagement for the public within the city. The museum is also designed to be an example of technological innovation and sustainable practices.
JENSEN ARCHITECTS Ann Hamilton Tower Audience and performer are intertwined inside this tower located at the Oliver Ranch in Alexander Valley. Designed by the artist Ann Hamilton, with our office as architect of record, the tower was imagined as a space for performance. A double helix stair weaves in three dimensions performers on one stair and audience on the other—in close proximity but never direct contact. The 24’ diameter tower is several stories tall with seating and light niches cut into the thick concrete walls. AKT (Sawako & Panagiotis) « Scriptedbypurpose Sawako and Panagiotis at AKT Currently they are working as computational design researchers in Adams Kara Taylor based in London. They have worked on projects by well known architectural practices in the United Kingdom including Zaha Hadid Architects, Future Systems, and Foreign Office Architects in the development of architectural design involving complicated geometries. Our research aims in developing design solutions that respect criteria of structural efficiency and architectural intentions by interrogating the intrinsic properties of forms and their embedding space. Panagiotis Michalatos Studied Architecture at NTUA Athens Greece and graduated in 2001.
