Popular iPhone Cases Popular All « Prev1234 ... 80Next » Video Transcript What is art? From the materials we use to the hands that ply them, we match the care that goes into everything we make to that of the artist that designed it. It begins with those thousands of artists entrusting their original work to another. It's the craftsmen that process, sort, inspect and pack your case. It's the high density materials that ensure premium protection. It's the proprietary inks that mean the design you buy is the design you get. All together, thousands of steps were taken to make your iPhone Case. This is our process. This is our art.
TIPPED OUT - thebeautydepartment.com all photos: Kristin Ess + thebeautydepartment.com post designed by kristin ess Lots of emails this week asking for a tutorial on Lauren’s temporary bright colors. Here I’ve replicated the process for you in 7 steps on an extension. While I never recommend bleaching out the ends of your hair at home, if you want to do the fun colors yourself, maybe get the tips bleached out by a pro + then play with the temporary colors on your own. TOOLS: highlighting comb, clips, foils, color brush, hair bleach with the appropriate volume (always seek a professional when using bleach), light pink color, dark pink color, light blue, dark blue, clear gloss. Step 1 Highlight the tips of the hair using hair bleach with the correct volume. Step 2 Fold up your foil and let it process until it reaches a pale blonde. Step 3 Shampoo and lightly condition bleach out of the hair. Step 4 Blow hair completely dry. Step 5 Place the hair on a foil. XX Kristin Ess Related posts:
English Pronunciation If you can pronounce correctly every word in this poem, you will be speaking English better than 90% of the native English speakers in the world. After trying the verses, a Frenchman said he’d prefer six months of hard labour to reading six lines aloud. Dearest creature in creation, Study English pronunciation. Serendipity Ikea Science Fiction by Susana Polo | 11:53 am, May 9th, 2011 I could make some joke here about how Ikea directions always make me feel like I’m expected to build something that’s bigger on the inside, but I actually have never had that much trouble following Ikea directions THERE I SAID IT. Seriously, if you’ve ever put together some Lego sets, you already have all the experience you need. No, the problem I always seem to have is with the furniture where you have to pick up extra parts that aren’t expressly mentioned all over the boxes of the parts you already have, and I find that I’ve left a vital element of a bed, like the bits that hold up the mattress, at the warehouse. And then I sleep on the couch. (via College Humor.)
The Founder of FedEx Once Saved the Company by Taking Its Last $5,000 and Turning It Into $32,000 by Gambling in Vegas Today I Found Out the founder of FedEx once saved the company by taking its last $5,000 and turning it into $32,000 by gambling in Las Vegas. The man is Frederick W. Smith who is the founder and current CEO of FedEx. In 1971, Smith took his personal fortune of around $4 million and raised around an additional $90 million to found a delivery company structured such that it could potentially deliver packages overnight to anywhere in the world. This is something that, at that time, had never been done. Smith had first outlined how such a company would operate in a 1962 paper he wrote while at Yale University. Unfortunately, three years after the company began, thanks largely to rapidly rising fuel costs, Federal Express was on the verge of bankruptcy, losing over $1 million a month, with no one willing to give them any additional loans nor any investors interested in contributing capital. It turns out, a few days more was all he needed. Bonus Facts: Expand for References:
