Ben Joffe | Ice Code Decks 5 Oct 2009 Any idiot can stack a cold deck to trick an opponent in Texas Hold'em Poker into losing all his chips. However usually the player on the right of the dealer cuts the deck, which means the cheater must swap the deck after this point, which makes it much harder to do subtly. I do not condone cheating in poker, it is immoral, dangerous and often illegal, but out of curiosity I was wondering if it is possible to stack a deck so that no matter which way it is cut, the winning hand is always dealt to the dealer. This would be fun to use as a magic trick, to be able to consistently predict the winning hand. I was skeptical at first, but after running a hastily written script for about half an hour I found such a deck for 2 player heads up: A spades. (hover your mouse over the cards to see the hands that would be dealt) After this, I began wondering, is it possible to do this with 3 players? A spades. 8 clubs. And 4 players, though this one took the computer about 6 hours to find: ...

Ethanol Blend Pushes Zimbabwe Fuel Prices Down ZIMBABWE - Fuel prices in Zimbabwe are now on a downward trend as the oil industry absorbs the full impact of locally manufactured fuel grade ethanol from Chisumbanje. The recent price decrease is in sharp contrast to the patterns in other countries in the region where prices have been rising in response to developments in the global market. According to the Herald Online, the price of a litre of blended fuel ranges between US$1,32 and US$1,36 at most local service stations. Unleaded petrol has dropped from US$1,44 per litre to between US$1,37 and US$1,40. Economist Mr Brains Muchemwa welcomed the use of blended fuel, as it was "good" for the economy: "The current account deficit at around 35 per cent of GDP is not sustainable and requires such initiatives as ethanol fuel that allows Zimbabwe to improve on national savings," he said. ZNCC immediate past president and secretary-general of the Comesa Business Council Mr Trust Chikohora hailed the ethanol initiative.

Stacje numeryczne - radiowe audycje-widmo - Paranormalium - Portal Zjawisk Paranormalnych Włączasz radio. Strange Artifacts, Baghdad Battery This experiment proved that electric batteries were used some 1,800 years before their modern invention by Alessandro Volta in 1799. It also seems that the use of similar batteries can be safely placed into ancient Egypt, where several objects with traces of electroplated precious metals have been found at different locations. There are several anomalous finds from other regions, which suggests use of electricity on a grander scale. The Riddle of "Baghdad's batteries" Arran Frood investigates what could have been the very first batteries and how these important archaeological and technological artefacts are now at risk from the impending war in Iraq. I don't think anyone can say for sure what they were used for, but they may have been batteries because they do work Dr Marjorie Senechal War can destroy more than a people, an army or a leader.
