Rainbow Knit Blanket pattern with an YouTube video too! I’m sharing a colorful Rainbow Knit Blanket Pattern that is easy to make with an unique texture/stitch. For my Rainbow knit Blanket Pattern, I wanted a nice chunky blanket, that was quick to knit but yet had some kind of texture to it. With my previous Handknit Color Blocked Afghan, I had used a garter stitch already, and with the Yarn stash busting knit blanket, I had used a stockinette stitch. So, I ended up making my own pattern/stitch. Click/Tap here to add this to your Ravelry Queue See how I got this texture using the Slant Stich by clicking the video box below or To watch the video in HD on YouTube, click HERE My Rainbow Knit Blanket Pattern uses 12 different colors of yarn: 2 pinks, 2 yellows, 2 oranges, 2 greens, 2 blues and 2 purple shades. The main reason I mixed and matched these yarns – I had a few of each in my stash which I wanted to use up. The texture you see below is the Slant stitch in action- with a S1, M1 and then PSSO the 2 stitches (watch the video!) Notes:

Reliquary Arts: Corrupting the Common Craft: New Knitting Pattern: One Skein Shoe Rug This is a fairly simple pattern with enough variation to keep it interesting. It’s also a great stash busting project, especially for that extra skein of cheap bulk yarn. DETAILS:* It is a charted pattern. For those of you who aren’t fans of charts, I tried to make it as easy as possible to read (even color-coding the different sections so it won’t be necessary to follow the chart stitch-by-stitch).* It is only available as a PDF download. Finally, it's finished! This pattern was actually pretty fun to write up. And, while I was at it, I went ahead and converted the other patterns Lyzard and I have posted into PDFs as well. Enjoy! -Art Fiend

Sand Drift Blanket Modern and minimal, earthy and sumptuous, our Sand Drift Blanket spans all six shades of our new undyed organic cotton and alpaca Sweetgrass yarn. It may look like seed stitch, but you actually make this blanket without the trouble of purling (yup!). Holding two strands of yarn, you just work a very simple slip stitch pattern, alternating colors every third row. Doubled yarn and a super-tactile texture, the warm landscape of the Sand Drift Blanket has an incredibly satisfying weight and heft. Plus, the full tour of the Sweetgrass spectrum lends a barefoot-on-the-beach kind of pleasure. We love the study in nature, the celebration of subtlety, and the beauty of undyed fiber! Designed for Purl Soho by Jake Canton. Materials Our Sand Drift Blanket Bundle includes… 10 skeins of Purl Soho’s Sweetgrass, 65% organic cotton and 35% superfine alpaca.
