Mapping Stereotypes | Alphadesigner Get your copy on: Amazon US / Amazon UK / Amazon DE / Amazon FR / Amazon IT / Amazon ES / Amazon Canada / Amazon Japan / Amazon India / Amazon Brazil Atlas of Prejudice: The Complete Stereotype Map Collection BabyCenter: A massive millennial publisher with growing pains BabyCenter is known for its baby-name lists and pregnancy-related tracking tools. But increasingly, it’s been jumping in on topics of the day, as it did with this post on vaccines. The result is new levels of engagement for the legacy publisher. “I’m lucky enough not to know any of these morons in real life, but if I were to meet one face-to-face, I would shame, ridicule, and bully them. Advertisement “Until you can guarantee that my kids will not have any lasting harm from vaccinations, I will decide what I put in my body and the bodies of my children,” wrote Lana Fink. At a time when publishers are straining for the attention of millennial consumers, BabyCenter occupies an enviable position. But the site needs to evolve. Eighty percent of BabyCenter’s traffic comes over smartphones, and the small screen makes it hard to keep users on the site. Millennial marketing mojo BabyCenter is owned by Johnson & Johnson, which paid $10 million to buy it from eToys in 2001.

Famous Quotes are Paired with Clever Illustrations Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia-based illustrator Tang Yau Hoong has just released a brand new series where he pairs one of his older illustrations with a famous quote. A few years ago, we discovered Hoong and we quickly became fans after we saw his ability to cleverly incorporate negative space into many of his works. As he told us then, "I enjoy making illusion art because it has the ability to mislead us. In one of our favorite new prints, Hoong takes one of Steve Jobs' famous quotes, "Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish" and illustrates it by putting two half eaten apples next to each other. As he tells us, "Most of them are old illustrations that I redrew to match the style I was looking for and the meaning of the corresponding quote. If you enjoyed these posters, make sure to check out Evan Robertson's underlined book quote illustrations, here and here. You can pick up these prints over at Hoong's shop.

Magical Rings Inspired By Disney Princesses Gemvara is selling these Disney Princess-inspired rings designed by Tumblr-er Heck Yeah Disney Merch. Each piece of finger jewelry reflects a different princess and has a quote engraved on the inside. Admittedly I’m surprised Ariel’s is just a regular-ass ring. Shouldn’t it be made out of some kinda wacky gadget or gizmo like a racecar or a donut? That girl is all kinds of crazy! Via: designtaxi.com The Best New Way to Bring Your Lunch I’ll admit it—my workday lunches can get pretty boring. I always think I’m going to finally make use of all those delicious recipes I’ve been pinning away, but then nighttime rolls around and I’m too busy watching really important things like The Bachelorette and Vampire Diaries. And then morning comes, and I’m running around like a headless chicken and I’m lucky if I remember my keys and bus pass on the way out the door, let alone find time to throw a tasty lunch together. But with a teensy amount of planning, delicious lunches can be just a few easy steps away. Why mason jars, you might ask? There really are only two rules to the mason jar salad: Start with the dressing or sauce, and end with the lettuce and herbs. The best part is you can make five salads at a time, and they’ll stay fresh for the whole week—just grab and go on your way out the door! To get you going, check out three of my favorite recipes, ingredients listed in layering order. Caprese Pasta Salad 1 cup cherry tomatoes
