De la carte heuristique dans l'art et réciproquement Récemment, au hasard d'une navigation sur internet, j'ai découvert les cartes du plasticien américain Ward Shelley. Ward a choisi de cartographier ses idées en choisissant comme thème l'Avant-Garde. Il y a des cartes sur l'évolution des médias, Andy Warhol ou la Beat Generation.Entre carte heuristique et frise chronologique Ward Shelley a fait le choix de la frise chronologique comme axe de mouvement des cartes. Dans la grande majorité des cartes, on peut retrouver une ligne du temps pour faciliter leur découverte. Les cartes sont vraiment subjectives, il s'agit d'une expression personnelle plus que d'une tentative de communiquer une synthèse historique ou de réaliser une infographie exhaustive.
