Thoughts From the Man Who Would Sell The World, Nicely “My background is in Artificial Intelligence and my last business was building predictive data. Most of our customers were oil companies, and you can hold that against me if you like. But my pitch back then was ‘just give me enough data, I’ll figure out something.’ And often enough I did figure out something.” That’s how Houston-based 80Legs CEO Shion Deysarkar describes his background. Tonight his Web-crawling-as-a-service company will put up for sale tens of millions of data points extracted from public social networks and other websites. Starting at $350 per month, 80Legs customers can now purchase 10 to 20 million monthly user profiles from LinkedIn, MySpace and some other social networks. I’ve bet Deysarkar a beer that LinkedIn isn’t going to put up with this, but he says 80Legs has been crawling them extensively for quite a while and would have stopped them if they wanted to. 80Legs launched at DEMO last fall and has been on our radar since last spring. 80Legs is cool.

What to do when you're drunk? Tired of never having anything to do when you’re drunk? It seems that most of us resort to the same intoxicated pass times: beer pong, card games and socializing with others. While these activities are certainly fun, it seems that new and original drunken experiences can be hard to come by. In fact, having a unique and fun time while drunk isn’t very hard, you just have to use your imagination. Today, we explore fifteen fun and easy things to do when you’re drunk. Try some out the next time you crack open your favorite bottle. 1. Breaking stuff can be a great outlet for aggression and child-like fun when you’re drunk. 2. One of alcohol’s most beloved (and also most regretted) side effects is lowered inhibition. 3. Six in the Nest If you haven't heard of Diamond Candles, you want to. Diamond Candles are so much fun! These candles are at the top of my holiday want list! So, what is a Diamond Candle? Each Diamond Candle has a ring inside. Diamond Candles was founded in January of 2011. See that shiny gold thing in the candle? I was sooo excited to find out what my ring looked like... The candle smelled great, even before I lit it...but once I did the scent wafted through my home, Lavender Lemon smells great! As you can see, the wick was a little off center.. and it happened to be off center more on the side that the ring wasn't. Now, these candles take a LONG time to burn. So, I waited..... and waited....... and waited some more. There it is! In that foil was a small plastic bag... and, as you can see, in that bag is my ring!! Whooo hoooo! This part was the best... sooo much fun! Diamond Candles responded to a question asking how to tell if the rings are "real", on their Facebook page the other day.
Think These Are Photoshopped? Guess again - Chill Out Point - Fu I understand if you feel like it is hard to be amazed by anything you see on the internet these days, when you know for a fact that any teenager with a computer and a copy of Adobe Photoshop or other photo manipulation software can put together a fake photograph in a couple of minutes. The modern technology, computers and gadgets have brought such endless possibilities to modern society that anything is possible with the right equipment and the pinch of photography skills, technology know-how and creativeness. Which would make you completely right to believe that these photographs have been tempered with! Unfortunately, this means there’s a bunch of jaw-dropping images that the internet declared “FAKE!” the moment they appeared You need to be broad minded and always mind that real life is, sometimes, stranger than Photoshopped imagery and some of the most amazing, jaw-dropping of those photographs are, in fact, real.
Company Makes Custom Stuffed Toys Out of Children's Drawings Child’s Own Studio does something pretty neat: If you supply the studio with a drawing a child made, the studio will produce a stuffed toy using the child’s drawing as the blueprint. Are you an overprotective parent who will stop at nothing to make sure your child is both safe from possibly iffy design choices, but also one who makes sure their child gets exactly what they want at all times always? Child’s Own Studio actually prefers you, stating that the more directions provided, the better. On the site’s official FAQ, it is noted that there isn’t a set price, and the studio will provide a quote once the child’s drawing is received, though standard U.S. and Canadian shipping will cost $15. The toy ends up being around 12 to 14 inches long on average, and the toy takes about 2 to 4 weeks to make once the payment is received, though rush orders are possible, there will be an extra fee for that.
