Chunky Link Ball Chain Friendship Bracelets As you know from this and this, I just can’t stop making friendship bracelets! They look so good mixed + matched, piled high… adding the perfect, summery pop of color to whatever it is that you’re wearing. Today’s bracelet is a bit more blingy than the others I’ve made so far… and if you’d like, you could make it the more conventional way (using a clasp + jump ring vs. string…) or even make a necklace! There are so many ways to get creative with this project. For extra credit, try it using resin or tortoise links. Where to buy: Chain (approx. 4 inches) // Ball Chain (approx. 10 inches) // Embroidery Floss (about one skein) // Embroidery Needle // Sharp Scissors 1. 5. 9.
6 Strand Braid Tutorial I've been braiding my girls hair for years. All sorts. I love doing their hair. But to get to todays post. Start by picking out your string, yarn, raffia, hair. Step 1...Put all six strands together. I braided this down a bit so you could get a better image of what I was doing. Step 2...Your strands should look like this. Step 3...Start on the far left red strand. Step 4...Now take the red strand and go over the top of the yellow. Step 5...Starting on the right now, take the blue strand, go over the top of the purple. Step 6...Again with the blue, go under the green strand. Step 7...With the blue, go over the top of the red. Step 8...Tighten all strands and repeat until desired length is achieved. Tip...an easy way to remember this. From the left...Under, Over From the right...Over, Under, Over Repeat! This will be your finished look You can used this for a number of things...bracelets, hair accessory, belts, bookmarks and more. I love braiding and even have my girls learning already.
Chain Friendship Bracelets With the weather warming up, all I want to do is make summery bracelets – for myself and all of my friends. For the past few weeks I’ve been playing with rope and chain in attempt to make the “perfect” friendship bracelet, and I think that these come close. They are fun and easy to make, though it takes a bit of practice and patience at first. Over the weekend, I made several – and the whole family was infatuated. What you’ll need: 6 pieces of embroidery floss, cut to 30″ each.2 pieces of chain (I used rose gold,) cut to 4.5″ each. The first step is to knot the six pieces of floss together at the top. When you finish braiding, tie another knot. Next, separate the floss into two bunches of three strands. Begin by weaving the first link of both pieces of chain onto your floss. From there, keeping the floss held tightly, and keeping the chain links straight (this is very important,) begin weaving through the chain at a diagonal. Continue weaving at a diagonal.
the DIY: FASTEST FRIENDSHIP BRACELET EVER We were super excited to share the Fishtail Friendship bracelet tutorial with you and we are even more excited to share that we've found an easier way to do it. Don't get me wrong, I will still use the original technique to create more intricate designs but, this new tutorial is so quick you will end up wanting to make one in every color combination possible (like we did!) This tutorial is very similar to the other one so I will just share with you the differences. 1. You will only need to choose three colors of embroidery/friendship thread. Cut two pieces of each color at around 3 feet each. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. To see more detailed instructions of the end steps please refer to this tutorial. P.S.

Well, I guess most DIY jewelry are really, but I gave this to one of my best friends, so I think you all should do the same ;) I am still on summer vaca, and im totally experiencing how when you have nothing to do but relax 1. relaxing is hard, its true.. I was not made for relaxing!! Not having stuff I really need to be doing, is making me so lazy! Anyway, we are braiding ourselves another bracelet! 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. Wear it and love it!! michael ann made.: woven friendship bracelet tutorial i love the summer friendship bracelet trend that i keep seeing in blog land, so i thought it would be fun to share with you another way to weave a friendship bracelet. one of the parents at work showed me this technique of using a circular cardboard loom and i love how quick it goes, you can easily finish a bracelet in one sitting. - cardboard - something small and circular (like a teacup or ramekin) - scissors, ruler, pen - embroidery thread in pretty colors , thin yarn, or ribbon trace a circle onto your cardboard, and use a ruler to draw 8 lines cut a small ways into each line, between 1/2 an inch to an inch and make a hole in the middle of the circle where all the lines intersect. cut 7 strands of embroidery floss, about 24 inches long and tie them together with a slip knot. pull your thread bundle through the hole in your cardboard with the knot right up next to the hole and use a little piece of tape to hold it in place while you start. now for the fun part!
fake it: DIY Aurelie Bidermann Do you remember my DIY inspiration bracelet in this post? Well I finally had time to make my own and it went great! I'm so excited to share it with all of you! Look at all the excitement! YAY :) (here with this DIY and bow from this.) Purple is my fav color these days so I chose two tones of a bluish-purple and one strand of gold metallic. You will need a hair pin, embroidery yarn, and lock or paperclip. You can also add the yarn on both sides but since my chain was on the small side I wouldn’t have been able to see the metal chain! There are a million different ways to personalize this bracelet, this is my choice. If you like, try this: beads and some wire I would say that's 20 minuts well spent!
Friendship Bracelet DIY My daughter Maude/Mimi prepared this Friendship Bracelet How-to for you. Here’s what she says: I love making these for my friends — both boys and girls like to wear them. Sometimes I wear just one, and other times I like wearing a whole bunch. I like wearing them as anklets in the summertime. Once you get the hang of it, this is a really good activity to do while you’re watching a not very good movie. 1) Gather your materials (see the picture above). 2) Cut lengths of all four colors. 3) Tie the threads together in a basic knot. 4) Tuck the knot under the clip and spread the threads apart. 5) Take the left thread (the blue one) and cross it over the next thread (the green one) in the shape of a 4. 6) Take the blue thread and loop it over and under the green thread. Repeat this again — blue over green. 7) Next do the same thing twice with Blue over Lime Green. 8) Repeat this process, starting from the left. Then the same thing starting with Light Green on the left. Tada! Love, Mimi
