Sliding loop : an easy way to begin granny square! The double sliding loop is my favorite way to begin a granny square. I find this method fabulous as I can make the beginning ring the size I want. I worked it with a double ring as I find it more safe and easier to weave in end the tails. 1. 2. 3. 4. 6.And pull it through the loop on the hook 8. 9.Then pull the second tail to close the ring 10. Attic24 Mandala Wheel I've designed this Mandala Wheel as part of a big creative project that I am co-ordinating for Yarndale, the amazing yarn festival I help to organise. But this is a really easy, fun little creative make and I hope you might be inspired to hook up a few to use as table mats or wall art to brighten up a small corner of your home. I have found through experimenting that cotton is the best yarn to use for making mandalas. Cotton gives a beautiful stitch definition and creates a nice neat, firm fabric when worked up. The above mandala has been made from a smooth, matt cotton (Stylecraft Classique Cotton DK) worked on a 4mm hook, and the finished mandala measures 18cm across. Before I begin, a quick summary of the stitches. sl st [slip stitch] :: insert hook, yarn over, pull the loop back through the stitch, then through the loop on your hook. To begin, chain 4, then join with a slip stitch to form a ring. :: Round 1 :: Round 1 will be worked out of the ring. **Work 1 tr into the ring, ch 1**.
free pattern: spoke mandala - a creative being Hurray, free pattern day! :) So many of you were interested in the pattern for this mandala, that I decided to write it down for you all. The people have spoken! This pattern uses US terms and abbreviations. What do you need: yarn (I used Drops Paris cotton yarn by Garnstudio)a matching crochet hook (I used a 4mm Clover hook)a Tunisian crochet hook in the same size (so for me a 4mm Tunisian hook)a darning needle to sew in the endsa pair of scissors If you don’t have a Tunisian hook, you could also use a regular steel hook. I’ve been contemplating my Granny Circles for a while now, and decided that it is time to re-do that tutorial, as since I first had a play with making the circle back in August, I’ve learned a few new techniques and stitches, and I like the way I’ve been doing the centres lately much more… they’re not as ‘squished,’ so I decided to do up a brand spanking new tutorial! Soooooooooooooo………. Round 1: Make a magic ring…. if you’ve never done this before now, click here for step by step photo instructions….. and into this circle make 3ch (counts as 1dc) 1dc, *ch1, 2dc* repeat ** until you have 6 2dc’s separated by 1ch each, join with a slst to 3rd chain of original 3ch. le patchwork en éventail au tricot : bienvenue chez mamie jeannette un patchwork en éventail ça vous dit ? faire d'abord un échantillon de l'éventail tricoter ensuite un échantillon de 4 éventails tricotés ensemble en rentrant au fur et à mesure les fils des extrémités grille de l'éventail la grille montre l'éventail sur le côté endroit du travail tricoter le 1er rang et les rangs marqués par un C à gauche de la grille avec des couleurs contrastantes tricoter tous les autres rangs avec la couleur du fond 1er rang côté envers du travail : tricoter le rang au point endroit 2ème rang côté endroit du travail : 3ème rang comme le premier rang 4ème rang 2 mailles endroit * glissez la maille suivante à l'envers ( prise comme une maille envers ) laisser flotter le fil derrière la maille sur l'envers du travail, 1 maille endroit * répéter de * à * jusqu'à la dernière maille il y a donc 15 mailles de couleur contrastante sur l'aiguille alternant avec des mailles de la couleur du fond 5ème rang comme le 4 ème mais en laissant le fil flotter devant la maille glissée 11 ème rang
Sac et trousse (tricot, crochet) en patchwork J'ai fait ce sac pour transporter facilement les tricots y compris avec des aiguilles longues même si j'emploie de plus en plus souvent des aiguilles circulaires. Il mesure 45cm de long pour 20cm de haut. Les couleurs en sont très printanières et en fait le "tissu à bande" est constitué d'une multitude de tissus d'une même gamme qu'on peut trouver en rouleau prédécoupé. Les bandes apparentes après couture mesurent 1" soit 2,54cm.Comme je viens de racheter un set de crochets, qu'il est lui aussi multicolore, j'en ai profité pour coudre une pochette avec le reste de mon tissu à bandes. La pochette à crochets mesure 26 x 17cm et 2,5cm d'épaisseur. Elle est fermée par deux boutons magnétiques.Les bandes sont quiltées dans les coutures pour rigidifier et solidariser tissu et molleton. Il y a dix places pour les crochets : 9 pour le nouveau set et une pour les crochets fins à dentelle.

Het originele patroon is trouwens van Mary Ann Frits en kan hier gevonden worden. EDIT: I have received several comments from English readers concerning this pattern. Het begin is een ketting van lossen. FORMULE: 7x+8 Als je bijvoorbeeld, zoals bij mijn dekentjes, 20 volledige hartjes wilt, dan moet je beginnen met een ketting van 7 x 20 = 140 lossen PLUS 8 = 148 lossen. In bovenstaande foto heb ik dus 22 lossen gehaakt.Een kleine tip: Ik haak mijn start-ketting steeds met een grotere haaknaald dan de rest van mijn project. Oké, laten we nu beginnen met de eerste rij, nog steeds in de hoofdkleur. Haak een STOKJE in de vierde losse van haak, en in elke losse tot het einde.
