How to Read EPUB Books on Your Kindle Book lovers no longer have no slug around their heavy hardcover favorites when they want to read on the go, thanks to devices like the Amazon Kindle. The downside, however, is that the Kindle platform doesn’t support books in the EPUB file format. Luckily, with a little know-how on your side, you can render EPUB files readable on Kindle devices. Convert EPUB files to MOBI using Calibre Kindle supports Amazon’s proprietary format, AZW, as well as the similar MOBI format. Please note: These screenshots are from the MacOS version of Calibre — but the procedure for Calibre on Windows is exactly the same. Once you have installed Calibre, the first step is to add an EPUB book to the library. If you want to select one specific file, click Add books from a single directory, then find the file and select it. Once you have added the ebook to your Calibre library, select it, then click Convert books. The conversion process may take a minute. The MOBI file should be there. Editors' Recommendations
Grow Skills Finding and implementing the best technology is often either a very exciting or very daunting task for instructors. How do you know the best technology to use for the activity leading to the desired learning goals and outcomes? The UAF eLearning Instructional Design Team can offer expert advice and assistance with this piece of the course development or revision process. Technology itself is not a panacea for low instructor engagement nor is it an end in itself. In this Grow Skills area of the iTeachU website, the Design Team has crafted a number of pages on specific technologies that will help you get started, find examples of how it can be used in education, and point you to training resources. If you are looking for training on using technology in class, please consider developing a course with our instructional designers and attending our intensive iTeach workshop or other training event.
