The collection encompasses images of art and architecture of the world ranging from prehistory to contemporary art. The History of Art VRC builds and manages an image database, adding approximately 5,000 images per year to the collection. Collection development is largely based on faculty requests. Digital Collections The VRC digital collection of over 70,000 images is available from the ARTstor portal. Slide Collection The VRC slide collection contains over 450,000 35mm slides and is currently in the process of being digitized and/or deaccessioned.
