40 Exquisite Independent Film Posters Advertisement An independent film, traditionally speaking, is generally referred to as a movie created entirely outside the traditional Hollywood system. It is usually the kind of production where the actors double up as camera men, friends and family provide the bankroll and the director’s mom is in charge of craft services. Over the last few years, however, the “indie” film has taken on a whole new face. Of course with a limited run comes a limited budget. Like the movies themselves, poster art for independent films can be especially beautiful and most certainly stand out from the crowd. It is in tribute these wonderful works of art that Smashing Magazine has collected 40 Exquisite Independent Film Posters for your enjoyment. 40 Exquisite Independent Film Posters Zoo (2007)1 Paris, Je T’aime (2006)2 Primer (2004)3 Taxi to the Dark Side (2007)4 Machinist (2004)5 Funny Games (2007)6 Brick (2005)7 Birds Of America (2008)8 Paranoid Park (2007)9 The Descent (2005)10 Son of Rambow (2007)11 Bug (2006)12
10 Google Video Documentaries You Have To Watch I love Google Video because they have so many great documentaries free to watch. Here are my favorite 10. Some are sad, some are wacky, but they are all very informative and entertaining (full disclaimer, I own PickyDomains.com). 1. Dangerous Knowledge In this one-off documentary, David Malone looks at four brilliant mathematicians - Georg Cantor, Ludwig Boltzmann, Kurt Gödel and Alan Turing - whose genius has profoundly affected us, but which tragically drove them insane and eventually led to them all committing suicide. 2. BBC-Dogfighting Undercover-August 30, 2007 Investigation into the secret and dangerous world of international dogfighting. 3. "Just Melvin, Just Evil" is a very hard to find documentary about the tormented family of Melvin Just, a man almost too evil to be believed. 4. Very interesting documentary about freemasonry in US from the very first days of independence. 5. Up Close and Personal with a Killer. 6. This one will intrigue you. 7. 8. 9. 10. Other News:

Amazing Underrated Obscure Bizarre Films PART 11 list I really dig this IMDB plot summary, it paints a mysterious picture to get you interested while not giving away anything crucial, it's like a good trailer: A psychiatrist, Richard Burton, investigates the savage blinding of six horses with a metal spike in a stable in Hampshire, England. The atrocity was committed by an unassuming seventeen-year-old stable boy named Alan Strang, the only son of an opinionated but inwardly-timid father and a genteel, religious mother. As Dysart exposes the truths behind the boy's demons, he finds himself face-to-face with his own.

25 Spectacular Movies You (Probably) Haven’t Seen Pt. 2 Human Traffic Very unique comedy about the drug/club culture in the UK. Five friends ponder society, drug use and their own lives as they go about their usual weekend of snorting, smoking, popping, dancing and sex. The Matador Pierce Brosnan plays an assassin going through a mid-life crisis as he approached retirement. He’s like 007 on a spree of existential questioning. The Good, The Bad, And the Weird Two comical outlaws and a bounty hunter fight for a treasure map in 1940s Manchuria while being pursued by the Japanese army and Chinese bandits. Tucker and Dale vs. A group of college students go camping for the weekend and, through a series of unlucky events, begin thinking that the harmless Tucker & Dale (pictured above) are trying to kill them. New Kids Turbo An absolutely nutty movie from the Netherlands. Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang KKBB is a murder-comedy (?) Big Trouble Big Trouble is one of those movies where all of these different people end up intertwined at the end of the movie. Dr.
