Sling Bag Tutorial - Part 1 I tend to have a short attention span when it comes to projects, that's why I like making a variety of things. My Etsy shop has an assortment of stuff in it for that very reason...I don't want to make the same style of the same product over and over! Bags are one of my favorite things to make when I feel like changing up the pace a little. I whipped up a few of these hobo/sling bags to put in the shop. The fun thing about these totes are they are reversible! Fun! It will look like this when you open it up. We are going to be very thrifty with our use of fabric, and use the cut out pieces from the straps as the pockets. Measure down from the top straight edge, nine inches. Trim off the rounded bottom. Cut a strip of narrow elastic, 8 inches long. Your pocket should now look like this. Do that to all four pockets. Now sew just the outer edges of the bags together. With RIGHT sides together, stuff one bag into the other. Sew the two bags together. Stuff one of the bags into the other.

back to business Vacation is over and it’s back to the business at hand. The good news: I love my job and there is so often something fun and exciting to share with you. Today, I bring you the latest in my Make New or Make Do™ Sewing Pattern line, the Isabella Tote: The Isabella Tote is a great grab-and-go tote, simply made from a fresh yard of pretty printed fabric (seen above in my organic cotton sateen Indian Summer Floral) or from one standard size pillowcase! The cool thing about the construction of the Isabella is that when you make it out of a pillow case, it uses the whole pillowcase with virtually no waste. And just for fun, I included instructions for a scaled down version, called the Mini Izzy. The Isabella Tote pattern, along with my other Make New or Make Do™ sewing patterns, are available in printed hard copy at several online retailers and will be arriving soon at brick-and-mortar locations around the country. tuto sac trapèze - Byseverine Fournitures: 2 tissus coordonnées tissu bleu (doublure sauf que moi j'ai choisi de prendre un tissu plus épais) 2 rectangles de largeur 34 cm hauteur 38 cm rabat: 2 morceaux de largeur 30 cm hauteur 16 cm bandoulière longueur 110 cm largeur 14 cm fond rectangle de largeur 34 cm hauteur 12 cm tissu toile de jouy: 2 carrés de 34 cm 34 cm. 3 boutons coordonnés. 8 cm de ruban ou cordelette assortie. 1 découper le tissu. 2 positionner la bande de fond bleue sur le premier carré de toile de jouy endroit contre endroit. 3 faire de même avec le deuxième carré. 4 puis plier la bande obtenue en deux en veillant bien à aligner les coutures du fond et coudre des deux côtés afin de former l'extérieur du sac. 5 montage de l'intérieur (moi il est beige mais il aurait pu être bleu) coudre les trois côtés de l'intérieur (pour rappel c'est la largeur de 34 cm qui est le dessus), en veillant à laisser un espace non cousu dans le bas d'environ 12 cm afin fe pouvoir retourner le sac par la suite.

the library tote tutorial Here's a fun tote bag project I thunk up (yes, thunk) the other day. Of course there are tons of ways to make a tote bag, but I thought this one was fun and gives you a lot of options no less! | The Library Tote Tutorial | Whether you like things scrappy or streamlined, this bag is ready to go when you are. Take it to the library or to the park, it's big enough for all the essentials. Ready to make one (or a few?!) Materials: 1/2 yard exterior fabric 1/2 yard lining (if you choose to use any) 1/2 yard for straps, or cotton webbing or a handle type you prefer bias tape - handmade or store bought thread, sewing machine water soluble pen {1/2" seam allowances throughout, unless indicated differently} Cut and prepare pieces: Cut two pieces from the main pattern piece out of the exterior fabric. Cut two pocket pieces. Cut strap pieces: cut two pieces 6" tall by 24-27" long, depending on how long you want your handles to be. Make Straps: Take the long strap pieces, fold in half the long ways, and press.

Coccinelle du bonheur! - Parfumduciel Dimanche 16 décembre 2012 7 16 /12 /Déc /2012 16:09 Au Salon savoir faire et création, sur le stand de créapassions trônait les magnifiques créations d'Anne Alleto Madame Créenfantin. Ma poulette a lorgné quasi toute l'après midi sur la coccinelle posée sur l'étagère, vous la voyez??? Et depuis elle me tanne pour en avoir une! Alors hier, en bonne mère que suis pour ne plus qu'elle me colle pour lui faire plaisir, elle a choisi ses tissus et c'est parti! La coccinelle a été cousue en une après midi. Elle a l'air toute plate sur les photos, mais en vrai elle est toute dodue ;-) Merci Anne pour tes superbes créas qui enchantent nos enfants! Ma poulette elle est aux anges. Elle a dit: "Personne n'y touche, c'est ma coccinelle à moi!" Depuis elle ne la lâche plus... et du coup elle ne me colle plus ;-) Sauf que... maintenant c'est mon fils qui veut la version tortue!!! Aaaaaaarghhhhh Heureusement que je ne suis pas mère d'une colonie de vacances.
