The Non-GMO Shopping Guide

Home - Institute for Responsible Technology Before the FDA decided to allow GMOs into food without labeling, FDA scientists had repeatedly warned that GM foods can create unpredictable, hard-to-detect side effects, including allergies, toxins, new diseases, and nutritional problems. They urged long-term safety studies, but were ignored. THE CAMPAIGN FOR HEALTHIER EATING IN AMERICA Our goal is to stop the genetic engineering of our food supply. Although the introduction of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) may be one of the most dangerous health and environmental problems we face, it can be one of the easiest of the battles to win.

Weblog and Essays Let's Clear Up One Confusion About Bitcoin November 3, 2017 If bitcoin can be converted into fiat currencies at a lower transaction cost than the fiat-to-fiat conversions made by banks and credit card companies, it's a superior means of exchange. One of the most common comments I hear from bitcoin skeptics goes something like this:Bitcoin isn't real money until I can buy a cup of coffee with it. In other words, bitcoin fails the first of the two core tests of "money": that it is a means of exchange and a store of value. If we can't buy a cup of coffee with bitcoin, it obviously doesn't qualify as a means of exchange. The confusion here is the same one that plagues the conventional understanding of the foreign exchange markets: people confuse exchange and convertibility, which are both flows, i.e. transactions. Here's an illustration of the difference. Let's say Hipster Coffee Bar accepts payment in bitcoin (BTC) for a cup of coffee. Consider a credit card. What is privilege?

Hare Krishna Temple Despite The Beatles incredible fame and fortune, due to the pressures of touring and the constant attention from public and media, peace of mind and happiness had escaped them. So, in 1967 they travelled to Rishikesh. This trip to India was part of a sudden fascination of everything Indian by the vibrant and searching youth of the late 1960s. Soon, however, The Beatles returned to London, developing a taste for Indian spirituality, but not finding full satisfaction. In 1969, both George and Shyamasundar das had their wishes fulfilled when they met at a function at Apple Records. George’s interest in Krishna Consciousness and the devotees continued to grow. In 1970 George donated ISKCON funds to pay for the printing of a book, Krishna the Supreme Personality of Godhead, which contains the pastimes of Lord Krishna, with commentary by Srila Prabhupada. By 1972, ISKCON was growing very rapidly around the world. On Thursday 29th November 2001, George sadly passed away in Los Angeles.

nanodoug Thailand’s Thaksin Shinwatra, Marxists, and the NWO Tony Cartalucci Infowars.com May 18, 2010 At the root of this protest is fugitive ex-prime minister, Thaksin Shinwatra. Before being elected as prime minister, Thaksin was a member of Carlyle Group’s Asian advisory board. He was an eager free-trader and an open proponent of globalism in the fiercely independent Kingdom of Thailand, the only nation in Southeast Asia to avoid Western colonization. During his premiership, he began to consolidate his power through the creation of a rurally based political machine. Behind the scenes, there was community “organizing” taking place to create what would later become the infamous “red shirts.” “Many of them [red shirts] are now absolutely convinced that Thaksin was the best leader in Thai history, that he was a kind and generous man who holds the solution to all their problems. Thaksin has/had help from PR minions like Sam Moon of the Economist,

The International Forecaster Craig Venter creates synthetic life form | Science | The Guardia Scientists have created the world's first synthetic life form in a landmark experiment that paves the way for designer organisms that are built rather than evolved. The controversial feat, which has occupied 20 scientists for more than 10 years at an estimated cost of $40m, was described by one researcher as "a defining moment in biology". Craig Venter, the pioneering US geneticist behind the experiment, said the achievement heralds the dawn of a new era in which new life is made to benefit humanity, starting with bacteria that churn out biofuels, soak up carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and even manufacture vaccines. However critics, including some religious groups, condemned the work, with one organisation warning that artificial organisms could escape into the wild and cause environmental havoc or be turned into biological weapons. Others said Venter was playing God. "We were ecstatic when the cells booted up with all the watermarks in place," Dr Venter told the Guardian.
