With Labor Day weekend coming up, I know a lot of us are going to be out there taking pictures! :) Since we have a long weekend to practice, I wanted to share with you this basic intro to SLR photography. Left: Canon T2i. To start, let’s put your camera in Aperture Priority mode or Shutter Priority mode. 1. Let’s talk a little bit about Aperture. Photos taken with a low aperture let in more light, allowing you to take pictures in situations where there is not much light (like indoors and at night). A low aperture will also give you a shallow depth of field. Canon 50mm f/1.8 f/1.8 1/200 sec ISO 800 In the photo above, the aperture was set to 1.8, a low aperture. Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 f/16 1/60 sec ISO 100 In this picture, the aperture was set to 16, a high aperture, allowing everything to be in focus. AirTool Kit, 71-Piece-STPT-KIT-71PC at The Home Depot This looked like a good deal, especially since it was on sale for $79 vs the advertised $99. Unfortunately, it was a poor decision. The impact wrench has absolutely no power / torque. Tried it on the lug nuts for two of my cars, a garage door bracket, and some metal outdoor furniture - it couldn't loosen any of the bolts. In fact, it could barely tighten the bolts when it came time to put them back. The included documentation / manuals is worthless - there are numbered diagrams, but there is nothing that says what the numbers represent. There is a "Power" dial that goes from 1-4.
