Cooliris Express. Muro 3D para nuestro blog. La forma de insertar un vistoso muro 3D en nuestro blog es muy sencillo gracias a Cooliris Express. Son tres pasos los que necesitamos: seleccionar contenido (Flickr, Picassa, Youtube, Facebook o contenido sindicado por RSS), configurar las medidas y características e insertar. Cuando lleguemos a la página de Cooliris Express vamos a la sección Create your own 3D wall. Ahí seleccionamos de que lugar queremos sacar nuestro contenido multimedia (Flickr, Picassa, Youtube, Facebook o contenido sindicado por RSS). Yo lo voy a hacer el ejemplo con un álbum de Picassa en el que guardo las fantásticas ilustraciones de Nestor Alonso para Educacontic. En la siguiente pantalla configuro (customize) la apariencia: título del muro, número de filas, color del tema e incluso opciones más avanzadas. En la última pantalla me dará el código para insertar en el blog. En esta pantalla podemos copiar el código y pegarlo en nuestro blog o dar permiso a Cooliris para que acceda a nuestro sitio web.

Líneas de tiempo con TimeRime Hace tiempo entregamos una reseña del programa online Dipity, que facilita la construcción de líneas de tiempo. Ahora presentamos TimeRime, que permite ralizar la misma actividad pero que es una opción al programa mencionado con ciertas diferencias y ventajas. Es una aplicación web que permite crear ver y comparar líneas de tiempo interactivas y multimediales. Las ventajas con respecto a Dipity son que tiene un número ilimitado de líneas en su versión gratuita y que existe una versión educativa. Pero, la ventaja mayor quizás sea que se puede trabajar en lengua castellana. Para nosotros, docentes de habla castellana, tiene la virtud tan necesaria de incorporar tildes y eñes, olvidadas por los desarrolladores anglosajones. Entre otras facilidades, permite la organización de la línea en categorías y jerarquizar los eventos, y como frutilla del postre, permite la impresión de la misma.
