Why you should upgrade to VMware Workstation 7 Software companies release upgrades, it's a fact of technology life. Sometimes the older version works just fine, other times upgrading can provide benefits that are more than worth the upgrade. Upgrading to Workstation 7 offers both increased performance and Windows 7 support, both of which are lacking in Workstation 6. Further, if you've already upgraded to Windows 7 and find that Workstation 6 is no longer functional, upgrading Workstation could be your answer. When you register, my team of editors will also send you alerts covering all areas of VMware, such as implementing VMware-related virtualization technologies for server consolidation, disaster recovery and backup strategies, management and performance, VM migration and more. Sounds like a cheesy marketing pitch, doesn't it? Just a few day after Microsoft released Windows 7, VMware announced Workstation 7 . Here is Windows 7 inside Workstation 7. There are a lot of new features in Workstation 7, but here are the top 10.
Handbook of hardware pinouts, cables schemes and connectors layouts MIMO Beamforming and Its Impact on Testing TD-LTE | 2012-02-15 | Microwave Journal Lobes created by simple beam steering. Recently, both wireless and business media have cast a spotlight on TD-LTE. At a conceptual level, TD-LTE is easily understood. It is simply LTE with uplink and downlink multiplexed in the time domain rather than the frequency domain. The result is an LTE system that can be realized in a single frequency band as opposed to the paired bands required in FDD-based LTE. Just as TD-LTE solves a problem for many operators, another wireless innovation solves a separate problem for the entire industry: Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) antenna techniques offer faster data rates and better system capacity, without expending resources in the time or frequency domains. This channel reciprocity leads to a way to improve both coverage and system quality: MIMO beamforming. The term “beamforming” is sometimes used without qualification, which can cause confusion. An 8 × 2 beamforming system creates orthogonally polarized beams. Adaptive beamforming system.
Coridium Corporation - Networked Control Systems - Simply Connec Temperature sensor for WRT54G 2.x and WRT54GS with DS1820 Introduction This is a tutorial for attaching Dallas DS1820, DS18B20, DS18S20, 1-wire thermometer to Linksys WRT54G/S. The motivation was due to frustration of adapter stacking found on internet. Even some authoritative open source such as OWFS suggest DS2480B line driver, 3.3V -> 5V MAX883 level shifter, voltage regulator and so on. It can be shown that for simple temperature measurement with WRT54G only sensor and transistor with three resistors is sufficient for the job. WRT54G/S serial interface For opening the case and how to void warranty please see Linksys WRT54G/WRT54GS Dual Serial Port Mod. The pin-out of JP1 on the Linksys PCB is as follows: Pin 1: 3.3V Pin 2: 3.3V Pin 3: Tx (ttyS1) Pin 4: Tx (ttyS0) Pin 5: Rx (ttyS1) Pin 6: Rx (ttyS0) Pin 7: NC Pin 8: NC Pin 9: GND Pin 10: GND We will concentrate on second port ttsS1 as first is reserved for serial console. Measured BCM4712 serial port DC characteristics Testing serial interface /dev/tts/1 cat < /dev/tts/1 stty -F /dev/tts/1 9600. .
How to Start a Startup March 2005 (This essay is derived from a talk at the Harvard Computer Society.) You need three things to create a successful startup: to start with good people, to make something customers actually want, and to spend as little money as possible. And that's kind of exciting, when you think about it, because all three are doable. If there is one message I'd like to get across about startups, that's it. The Idea In particular, you don't need a brilliant idea to start a startup around. Google's plan, for example, was simply to create a search site that didn't suck. There are plenty of other areas that are just as backward as search was before Google. For example, dating sites currently suck far worse than search did before Google. An idea for a startup, however, is only a beginning. Another sign of how little the initial idea is worth is the number of startups that change their plan en route. Ideas for startups are worth something, certainly, but the trouble is, they're not transferrable.
RS-485 (EIA-485) serial interface pinout and wiring EIA-485 (formerly RS-485 or RS485) is an OSI Model physical layer electrical specification of a two-wire, half-duplex, multipoint serial connection. The standard specifies a differential form of signalling. The difference between the wires? voltages is what conveys the data. EIA-485 only specifies electrical characteristics of the driver and the receiver. (Build this 5-piece electronic pad kit yourself for less!!) Welcome to our free instructions! This pad design is posted with the intention that drummers around the world will be able to build their own trigger pads that are both inexpensive and highly functional. Top of Page Building your own electronic drum pads may seem like a difficult task. We wanted the feel of a drum head and assumed that the best way to achieve that was with a drum head. Mounting the piezo directly under the head resulted in a broken piezo, while mounting it in the foam resulted in a poor response from the rest of the pad.
